<p>Penrite Racing’s journey across the Tasman for Round 3 of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship at the ITM Taupō Super 440 was one to remember – both for its emotional resonance and on-track success.</p> <p>In the lead-up to the event, the team proudly unveiled a stunning ANZAC Appeal Tribute livery. In a poignant gesture of remembrance, the traditional gold wreath on the Penrite Oil logo was replaced with vivid red poppies on the bonnet, symbolising the ANZAC spirit. The car also featured the ANZAC Appeal logo and the words LEST WE FORGET prominently on the bonnet and rear, while the mirrors were also specially themed for the occasion. It was a beautifully executed tribute, marking a welcome return of ANZAC-themed liveries to the Supercars grid – all in support of an important cause.</p> <p>The striking look of the Penrite Mustangs was matched by their pace on track.</p> <p>Hometown hero Matthew Payne delivered a performance worthy of the occasion, dominating the weekend and claiming the prestigious Jason Richards Memorial Trophy. Payne scored a pole position for Race 8, victories in Races 8 and 10, and a fourth-place finish – a stellar haul that saw him claim the JR Trophy by 33 points over Chaz Mostert. <p>Authentic Collectables are very proud to present this 1:18 Scale Prodrive Racing Australia Pepsi Max Crew Ford FGX Falcon driven by Mark Winterbottom and Steve Owen to win the 2015 Wilson Security Sandown 500.<br><br>The 2015 Sandown 500 was held right in the midst of a very strong period on track for Prodrive Racing Australia, known now as Tickford Racing. Mark Winterbottom and Chaz Mostert were both in contention for the championship that year (which was ultimately won by Winterbottom) and their performances at Sandown with their co-drivers, Steve Owen partnering Winterbottom and eventual Dunlop Super 2 Series Champion Cam Waters, partnering Mostert, were simply outstanding.<br><br>Both the Winterbottom/Owen and Mostert/Waters cars qualified strongly for the 500 to start from 2nd and 3rd on the grid respectively behind pole sitter Jamie Whincup and co-driver Paul Dumbrell. Come race day, the Red Bull Racing VF Commodore led for much of the day until a tyre puncture opened up the door for both PRA cars to claim the top two steps of the podium in a memorable 1-2 finish for the team. <p>Cam Waters’ Tickford Racing Ford Mustang GT was simply the best of the rest at the 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000, finishing in 2nd place for the 2nd year in a row albeit with a new co-driver in James Moffat after his 2020 co-driver, Will Davison, was back in a full time drive for 2021.</p> <p>Interestingly, the 2nd place finish was also the 2nd time Moffat (the son of 4-time Bathurst winning legend Allan) had finished in 2nd place at the Bathurst 1000, repeating his effort from 2014!<br>In Cam’s own words, it was a bittersweet result. A podium at Australia’s great race is always special but finishing 2nd for two years running is a tough pill to swallow when you’re so close to the top step at such a legendary race.
