Classic Carlectables 18826 1/18 Holden EH Panel Van Milo Tastes of Australia No.5

124.00 $

Part of the Tastes of Australia Collection, No. 05

The EH, introduced in 1963, holds a significant place in Australian automotive history as one of the nation's best-selling cars. Its success can be attributed to a combination of factors: a revamped engine, clever design updates, and competitive pricing. These elements made the EH the fastest-selling car in Australia during its time.

Catering to a diverse consumer base, the EH came in nine different models, including commercial variants like the Utility and Panel van, which retained some styling cues from its predecessor, the EJ model.

One of the standout features of the EH was its new powerplant, known as the 'Red' engine. This engine not only offered more power and better fuel efficiency compared to the previous 'Grey' engine but also demanded less maintenance. The 149 cubic inch engine delivered 100 horsepower, marking a 33% increase over the 'Grey' engine, while the 179 cubic inch variant offered 115 horsepower, a 50% improvement. Despite the availability of both engines and a Hydramatic transmission for the Utility and Panel van models, the majority of EHs sold were equipped with the 149 cubic inch engine paired with a manual transmission.

Designed for practicality and durability, the EH Utility and Panel van models featured laminated hardwood trays capable of carrying half a ton of cargo. Notably, safety was also a priority, with the removal of the driver's side door lock intended to prevent accidents during deliveries.

The EH holds a special place in the Classic Carlectables Tastes of Australia Collection, marking its fifth model release. This collection celebrates iconic vehicles that are quintessentially Australian, and future releases are planned to maintain the tradition of representing Classic Carlectables models in their traditional branding colors.

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.

After unveiling a highly praised refresh of their iconic livery ahead of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season, the Shell V-Power Racing Team surprised fans with an unexpected livery change for Round Three at the ITM Taupo Super 440 in New Zealand.

For the New Zealand round only, the familiar colours and branding of Shell V-Power were replaced by Jet Couriers, with a striking maroon and white livery featuring Jet Couriers branding on the doors, bonnet, and roof. The livery also included a special nod to the NZ round, with a stylised version of the iconic silver fern displayed on the car and “NZ” positioned beneath the event logos on both doors.

New partner logos also appeared on the livery for the NZ event, including BK Trading Australia on the headlights, Help.com on the sides of the rear bar, and Greyhound Australia on the rear. Other notable changes included updated Doric NZ logos on the mirrors and a uniquely coloured stylised ‘KO5T3KI’ numberplate on the front bar, as part of the team’s partnership with PPQ.

Still entered as the Shell V-Power Racing Team for the NZ round, and with the iconic Shell Pecten logo retained on the front bar of the No. 38 Mustang, it marked the first time a Dick Johnson Racing entry had not run in a full Shell V-Power Racing Team livery since the beginning of 2017.

Racing at the event where the team secured the prestigious Jason Richards Trophy in 2024, this new-look Mustang is a must-have for collectors wanting to keep their Dick Johnson Racing collections up to date.

The Taupo Super 440 was Kostecki's most successful round to date for Dick Johnson Racing, securing two pole positions for race 9 and 10 of the championship, and a third place finish for race 9 where he shared the podium with team mate Will Davison who finished in second place.

This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.

It will come in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. An individually numbered backing board featuring the edition number is also included as part of the package and acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.

Don’t miss your chance to secure yours — once it’s sold out, it won’t be available again.

Features

Die-cast model, sealed body

1:43 Scale Shell V-Power Racing Team #38 Jet Couriers Ford Mustang GT

2025 ITM Taupo Super 440 Race 9/10 Pole Position

Driver: Brodie Kostecki (First Pole / Podium for DJR)

Solido 1802601 1/18 Porsche 911 3.0 Coupe 1984 Minerva Blue

46.00 $

The Porsche 930 3.2 SC was initially supposed to be the last in the lineage of the 911. However, owing to its success, and the disquiet of Porsche’s clientele to see such an icon disappear, the car manufacturer decided to give the 911 the means to succeed. While nothing was to change the aesthetic of the masterpiece, under the bonnet a small revolution took place. Its Flat 6 was completely reviewed, and the car was equipped with a Bosch DME Motronic electronic injection and the distribution system was made reliable by a new chain tensioner. A unique alternator was equipped and the exhausts protected. In all, no less than 27 horsepower were gained, adding to the previous SC’s 204 horsepower. The 3.2 SC would definitively project the 911 to become one of the most recognisable cars made by Porsche.
