Classic Carlectables 18722 1/18 VJ Charger XL - Sunfire Yellow Diecast Car

116.00 $

In March of 1973 Chrysler released the VJ Charger which was a mild face-lift of the popular VH Charger.
Selling large family cars was proving difficult and profits were falling. This effected the amount of money available to give the VJ Series a significant restyle, thus leaving the styling team the challenging task of creating a new look, whilst keeping within the tight budgetary restrictions.

The exterior upgrade was limited to a new grille with round headlights and modified tail lights. The interior gained a new dash pad and instrument panel, plus revised seat and trim patterns. The Charger R/T race programme was over, so to counter the deletion of the R/T, Chrysler advised customers they could ‘build an R/T’ by using the E48 Six Pack Hemi 265 engine option and the A54 sports package. This provided a unique instrument panel and tachometer (like the E55) and three spoke sports steering wheel. The metal sports wheel rims were standard but the 7-inch ROH alloys were a popular option.

Subtle side stripes that ran from the centre of the driver’s door, along the side, to encircle the Charger badge on the rear fender replaced the R/T’s bold stripes. At the rear, a stripe divided into six sections, ran from the ducktail spoiler up around the top of the rear window and back. The Six Pack decals were replaced by a yellow Six Pack badge on the front guard.

Item includes certificate with individual production number.

Specification

Scale: 1:18

Type: Road Cars

Limited Edition Quantity: 600

41.00 $

PremiAir Racing made their debut in the Supercars Championship as a two car team and were the new kids on the block in 2022.

Formed by respected racer and businessman Peter Xiberras after purchasing Team Sydney / Tekno Autosports, the team was essentially put together in a remarkably short time frame just prior to the start of the season.

If the success of this venture is being judged purely on how the teams cars looked then it has already been a raging success. There weren't many better looking on the grid than the retro inspired Coke livery raced by Pither and co-driver Cameron Hill at the 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000.

The livery paid tribute to the 1995 #7 Coke Supercar which was driven to third place at that year’s Great Race by Wayne Gardner and Neil Crompton. The 2022 version was so popular, the team opted to keep it for the remainder of the 2022 season.

Don’t miss this model in 1:43 scale which has been produced by Authentic Collectables in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed interior and will be presented in a display case with a printed base featuring the car details and an individually numbered backing board as the Certificate of Authenticity.

Features

1:43 Scale PremiAir Coca-Cola Racing #22 Holden ZB Commodore

Sealed body die-cast with clear windows and detailed interior

Mercedes-AMG GT3 2022 Bathurst 12 H

Biante Model Cars are very pleased to present the 1:43 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Triple Eight Race Engineering. The exclusive replica model as raced by Shane van Gisbergen, Broc Feeney and Prince Jefri Ibrahim to 3rd place in the 2022 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-hour endurance race.

Competing independently for the second time, Triple Eight Race Engineering returned to the Bathurst 12-hour endurance race piloted by 2021 Supercars Champion Shane van Gisbergen, Red Bull Ampol Racing rookie Broc Feeney and GT World Challenge rookie Prince Jefri Ibrahim. Although the smallest field competed in the 19th running of the Bathurst 12-hour it was an eventful race with eight safety Car deployments over the entire day with five coming in the first four hours thanks to low-lying fog. The Audi’s dominated qualifying and kept remarkable day-long pace but then came the Mercedes-AMG cars to control the second-half of the endurance race. The bright yellow and green Mann Filters 888 car completed the all-Mercedes podium and marked the first time in the event’s GT3 ear that a single manufacturer has swept the overall podium. Van Gisbergen added this 3rd place to his 12-hour podium finishes in 2016 and 2020, while it was Feeney and Ibrahim’s first podium finish at the endurance event.

Produced in high-quality resin by Spark, the 1:43 Mercedes-AMG GT3 are exquisitely-crafted collectables with fine detail, high quality and perfectly replicated decals and paintwork. These exclusive limited edition collectable models will be produced to order and should not be missed.

1/43 Scale

Triple Eight Race Engineering No.888

Feeny / Van Gisbergen / Ibrahim 3rd Place

Authentic Collectables ACD43F19DJ 1/43 Ford Performance No.17 Ford Mustang GT Supercar 2019 Adelaide 500 Parade of Champions Dick Johnson Diecast Car

41.00 $

Authentic Collectables are very proud to present the 1:43 Scale Ford Performance Mustang GT driven by Dick Johnson in the Ford Performance 'Parade of Champions' at the 2019 Adelaide 500.

Everyone was excited to see how the new Ford Mustang GT Supercar would perform on debut at the 2019 Adelaide 500 but perhaps no-one more so than Dick Johnson because aside from being a team co-owner with two new Shell V-Power Mustang's competing that weekend and all the nervous anticipation related to that, he was also getting back into the driver's seat of a #17 Mustang Supercar for demonstration laps as part of the Ford Performance 'Parade of Champions' alongside Marcos Ambrose in a Mustang NASCAR and Scott McLaughlin in a road going Mustang.

In the lead up to the event, the 5 time Australian Touring Car Champion was enthusiastic and his usual humorous self about the prospect of jumping behind the wheel of a fully fledged Supercar once again;

“When I was approached with the concept, the first question I asked was ‘what’s the lap record?’. But seriously, it’s been a long time since I’ve been behind the wheel of a full-spec Supercar, and to get the chance to drive the new Mustang is something I’m very much looking forward to,” said Johnson.

“Scott and Fabian have been saying plenty of great things about the new car, so it’s going to be an honour and a privilege to once again hit the track in Adelaide, for the first time in nearly twenty years. Doing it alongside Marcos and Scott is just the icing on the cake.”

Come race weekend, the Ford icon was suitably impressed after cutting his first laps and couldn't resist on comparing the old cars to the new.

"These guys don't know how lucky they are, they've got it pretty easy to be quite honest. The way the car feels and handles, it's pretty hard to get a real gauge in a couple of laps. But boy oh boy, it has plenty of grunt, a lot more than what we had and certainly they stop extremely well. As far as kerbs and that, there's no such thing. When you run over a kerb it's like running over a pebble!"

Over his remarkable career, Johnson raced some of Ford's most iconic race cars in Australia and experienced a tremendous list of achievements. He's a legend of the sport, so there's obviously little comparison to a competing in a fully fledged race in the prime of your career versus demonstration laps well into your racing retirement but it's fair to say that Johnson's experience at the 2019 Adelaide 500 would be fondly remembered by not only him, but his legion of fans who witnessed it.

And very few could deny, it's always nice to see a Ford Supercar with the #17 and the name Johnson on it!

Don't miss this 1:43 scale model which has been produced by Authentic Collectables in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed interior and will be presented in a clear display case in a limited edition with an individually numbered backing board which acts as the Certificate of Authenticity.

Features

1:43 Scale Ford Performance Ford Mustang GT

Sealed body die-cast with clear windows and detailed interior
