<p>In 2016, van Gisbergen moved to the successful Triple Eight Race Engineering team, alongside two of the most successful drivers in series history; Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes. Van Gisbergen won his first race for the team at the Tasmania SuperSprint in 2016, which was also Holden’s 500th win in championship history. Alexandre Prémat joined van Gisbergen as co-driver in the Enduro Cup. The pairing went on to win the 2016 Enduro Cup, including three second-place finishes and Prémat’s first race victory in the championship at the 2016 Castrol Gold Coast 600 and become the first non Australian drivers combination to win. At Pukekohe, van Gisbergen becomes the first New Zealander to lift the trophy, named in honour of Jason Richards, who died of cancer in 2011 and he admitted the occasion got the better of him after crossing the finish line. He went on to win 8 races that season on the way to clinching the championship with a race to spare. In 2017, Whincup and van Gisbergen under the Red Bull Holden Racing Team banner. <p>For round 3 of the 2024 Supercars Championship season, Penrite Racing unveiled a new native livery for their Ford Mustang GT's raced at the ITM Taupō Super400 in New Zealand, the home country of both drivers Richie Stanaway and Matthew Payne.</p> <p>The transformation of the livery not only brought a fresh and dynamic look for the team but also served as a tribute to the loyal Penrite Racing fanbase in New Zealand.</p> <p>The Mustang's looked incredible and featured a striking silver base with iconic New Zealand branding elements in the background which formed a pattern made up of the silver fern, an outline of NZ and a Kiwi bird.</p> <p>It was a livery which rose to the occasion of the inaugural race at Taupo for Supercars, made even more significant for a team with two New Zealanders as their lead drivers. </p> <p>We're excited to be replicating this livery for Richie Stanaway's number 26 Mustang for collectors.</p> <p>This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.</p> <p>A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. <p>At the 2023 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, Scott Pye and Team 18 campaigned a retro Hino livery, which paid tribute to the sponsor’s sportscar past.<br><br>The all-red livery, complete with retro Hino logo, number and gold wheels, looked incredible on the Chevrolet Camaro.<br><br>Hino has made its name in trucks and buses, and has been supplying the Australian market for almost 60 years. However, the marque also has a background in motorsport, notably in the Dakar Rally.<br><br>The Pye livery was a throwback to Hino’s Team Samurai prototype, which was set to enter in the 1967 Japanese Grand Prix and Le Mans.<br><br>A race version of the 1300cc Hino Contessas finished first and second on debut in 1966 at Riverside Raceway in California.
