<p>Authentic Collectables are extremely proud to be releasing a new limited edition photographic print which celebrates the 2019 Bathurst 1000 victory for Shell V-Power Racing Team signed by winning drivers Scott McLaughlin and Alexandre Prémat.<br><br>After setting that unforgettable pole lap in 2017 and claiming a podium finish in 2018, 2019 was the year where Scott McLaughlin and Alexandre Prémat finally stood on the top step of the podium holding the Peter Brock Trophy aloft as winners of Australia’s ‘Great Race', the Bathurst 1000.<br><br>The iconic #17 Shell V-Power Ford Mustang GT was a rocket all weekend, repeatedly breaking the practice lap record before McLaughlin again dominated Mount Panorama in another breathtaking Top 10 Shootout, setting a new fastest-ever Supercars lap of the 6.213km circuit to secure pole position.<br><br>Come race day, McLaughlin and Prémat either led or were among the lead pack all day but, after more than six hours of racing and a number of late-race Safety Car periods that set up a restart on Lap 161, it all boiled down to one final nail-biting lap. Despite cold tyres and immense pressure from a fast-finishing Shane van Gisbergen, McLaughlin skated his way around the mountain to take the chequered flag first, 0.6800s ahead of his Red Bull Holden Racing Team rival.<br><br>It marked the first Bathurst 1000 victory for both McLaughlin and Prémat, who became the first Frenchman to win the Great Race. <p>The 1974 Bathurst 1000 was won by John Goss and Kevin Bartlett aboard a Ford Falcon XA GT Hardtop. The race, held on October 6, 1974, at the famous Mount Panorama Circuit in New South Wales, was marked by challenging weather conditions, including heavy rain. At the time, it was the longest Bathurst 1000 in history, a record that wouldn’t be broken until 2014.</p> <p>Goss and Bartlett’s victory was also notable for being the second consecutive win for the Ford Falcon XA GT Hardtop at the Bathurst 1000, with Allan Moffat and Ian Geoghegan winning the previous year.</p> <p>The race saw fierce competition, but Goss and Bartlett managed to overcome various challenges and treacherous track conditions to secure a memorable and hard-fought victory in the prestigious Australian endurance race.</p> <p>Authentic Collectables presents this incredibly designed limited edition collectors medallion commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1974 Bathurst 1000 win.</p> <p>This two sided gold plated metal and enamel medallion features an image of the winning Ford Falcon XA GT Hardtop presented with year, car and driver details and three legendary words included in the design on the rear of the medallion that every Ford fan loves to see - Ford Wins Bathurst.</p> <p>The medallion measures a large 100mm in diameter and 4mm thick and comes presented in an even bigger clear acrylic display stand which not only protects the medallion from dust and scratches, but also acts as the perfect way to display this collectors item. <p>The 2004 Bathurst 1000 was won by Greg Murphy and Rick Kelly, driving the Kmart Racing Team Holden VY Commodore. Held on 10 October at the famous Mount Panorama Circuit in New South Wales, the victory marked Murphy’s fourth Bathurst win and Kelly’s second, as well as their second win in a row as a driver pairing.</p> <p>Although Murphy didn’t repeat his famous 2003 “Lap of the Gods” shootout performance, the pair still started the 2004 race from a very respectable fourth on the grid.
