Classic Carlectables 18697 1/18 Ford Mustang GT 1986 Wellington 500 2nd Place

116.00 $

1986 was the second running of the Wellington 500, and it attracted a strong field with such drivers as Brock, Moffat, Johnson, Hulme and Grice. The race was expected to be between the newly homologated VK Commodore of Brock and Moffat, the TWR Rover of Walkinshaw and Percy and the Volvo 240T of Francevic and Lindstrom. Pole went to Andy Rouse in his BTCC winning Sierra, but the car was not expected to last the race distance. The Johnson/Crichton pairing qualified a respectable 4th position in their Ford Mustang, now painted black and gold.

Off the starting line Francevic stormed to the lead, with Brock close behind, pole sitter Rouse had early troubles and retired. The Volvo would lead for the first 1/3rd of the race, before retiring, promoting Brock to first place, with Hulme in second. Wet weather arrived shortly after, with some cars gambling on intermediate tyres. Moffat struggled with the tyre choice and slipped back in the field. The rain stopped and on a drying track, Brock was able to start closing in on the leaders. Due to the retirement of then leading BMW of Longhurst, it again promoted Brock to the lead, with Johnson now running in second. This would be how the race finished with Johnson/Crichton Mustang celebrating a podium position behind the winning Commodore of Brock/Moffat.

Features

The model is accurately detailed, the cowl panel features a finely molded vent, twin antennas, bonnet scoop and kill switch.

Behind the Mustang wheel rims are slotted disc brakes on all four wheels.

The left hand drive Mustang has the interior stripped out with full roll cage. The steering wheel is linked to the front wheels for extra realism.

The highly detailed rear chassis features air jacks, fuel tank, suspension setup and differential.

The chassis bears an individually numbered etched metal plate which is the edition number of your model.

Authentic Collectables ACD43C24H 1/43 Tyrepower Racing #4 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 - 2024 MSS Security Melbourne SuperSprint (AusGP) Cameron Hill

41.00 $

A driver with plenty of talent, Cameron Hill is one to watch as he returns with Matt Stone Racing with a new look car, and race number, to contest the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship Season.

Hill’s #4 Chevrolet Camaro, with backing from Tyrepower, features a fresh livery for 2024 which shares the same design style with the team’s #10 Percat car. The difference with Hill’s challenger is it combines an alternative royal blue, black, red and white colour scheme with a dynamic graphics package and it really stands out.

Another addition is the return of the number 4 to the Stone family, a race number which enjoyed much success during the Stone Brothers Racing days, with this model set to be replicated based on the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix round where he raced at the Melbourne SuperSprint.

This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.

It is scheduled to be produced in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. Authentic Collectables ACD43C24E 1/43 DEWALT Racing #100 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 2024 Thrifty Bathurst 500 Mark Winterbottom

41.00 $

One of only two past Supercars champions on the grid in 2024, Mark Winterbottom returns with Team 18 for the Repco Supercars Championship and remains one of the biggest stars of the sport.

In addition to the championship title on his resume, ‘Frosty’ also has a Bathurst 1000 crown, over 30 race wins and 100 podiums to his name, with his last win coming in 2023 - which was the first for Team 18, a model we’re also replicating.

In a year where many teams up and down pitlane opted for minimal changes or evolutions of their liveries, it was refreshing and exciting to see Team 18 take Winterbottom’s DEWALT backed Camaro and essentially invert the colour scheme used in recent years. The now black base Chevrolet with yellow DEWALT branding looks menacing and is perhaps one of the best liveries on the grid in 2024.

Another change for 2024 was Winterbotom’s race number, at least for the season-opening Thrifty Bathurst 500 round which this model will replicate. His regular number #18 was replaced with #100 to pay tribute to DEWALT celebrating their centenary with the brand first established in 1924.
