Release of 250GTO 1/18 scale diecast mini car, Kyosho’s specialty

The Ferrari 250 GTO, considered one of the ultimate classic Ferraris, now joins the Kyosho Original Mini Car Series in three different variations. Each model has been meticulously researched to capture the unique characteristics and subtle details of the individual cars, all faithfully reproduced in 1/18 scale.

First is the blue No. 24 Ferrari 250 GTO (chassis number 3387GT), driven by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien in the 12 Hours of Sebring, the third round of the 1962 World Sportscar Championship, held on March 24, 1962. In the final race, this car finished 1st in its class and achieved an impressive overall 2nd place, behind the more powerful pure racing prototype Ferrari 250 TRI/61.

The second model is the No. 15 Ferrari 250 GTO, with chassis number 3505GT, featuring an eye-catching pale green body. This car won the 11th round of the World Sportscar Championship, the Goodwood Tourist Trophy, on August 18, 1962. Notably, it was the first right-hand-drive 250 GTO, a detail faithfully replicated in this mini car model. The car was originally ordered by none other than Sir Stirling Moss, though it was driven to victory in the final race by Innes Ireland.

Lastly, No. 18. This classic Ferrari red 250 GTO, with chassis number 4219GT, was driven to victory by Pedro Rodríguez in the Daytona 3-Hour Race on February 17, 1963. The race marked the opening round of the World Sportscar Championship, and the 250 GTO’s win on debut was a strong indicator of the car’s continued dominance throughout the season. This magnificent 1/18 scale miniature brings the iconic Ferrari 250 GTO to life. As a true symbol of Ferrari’s racing heritage, this model is a must-have not only for Ferrari enthusiasts but for all motorsport fans.
