Authentic Collectables ACR12H84A 1/12 Holden Dealer Team No.25 Holden VK Commodore Group C 1984 James Hardie 1000 Runner-Up John Harvey / David Parsons

374.00 $

In 2024, Holden, Bathurst 1000 and Australian motorsport fans will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of one of the most famous results at Mount Panorama featuring the 'Last of the Big Bangers', the #05 and #25 Holden VK Commodore Group C's raced by Peter Brock / Larry Perkins and John Harvey / David Parsons to finish 1-2 in the 1984 James Hardie 1000.

The sister car to Peter Brock's Big banger was always the bridesmaid but never the bride. Built at the same time as Peter Brock's VK they shared almost identical build processes, so was well placed to become runner-up at the 1984 James Hardie 1000.

Driven By John 'Slug' Harvey and David 'Skippy' Parsons, both seasoned veterans of the mountain, there was little chance of an outright victory when racing against their team mates, Larry ""LP"" Perkins, and King of the Mountain, Peter Brock.

While the race was virtually flawless for Brock and Perkins, #25 had a dose of bad luck, at one point the gear lever came straight out of the gearbox! Parsons was adept enough to cram the stick back in and pull in for a pit stop to fix the issue which put #25 down 2 laps. In the end that meant losing only one place, naturally to #05.

Now, 40 years after that magic 1-2 finish, Authentic Collectables are excited to announce our 1:12 scale replica of the #25 Harvey/Parsons runner-up model.

Scheduled to be produced in sealed body resin format, this impressive large scale model will feature clear moulded widows, detailed racing cockpit, incredible exterior finishing, racing wheels and more.

As with all our releases in 1:12, this model will be produced in an exclusive limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Due to Australian tobacco advertising laws, the model will be produced without the complete livery applied.

This is one of a pair of the most iconic cars in Australian Bathurst 1000 history, and in this impressive, large scale, it shouldn't be missed. It will be a centrepiece in any model collection, bar or man-cave display.

Features

Sealed body resin model with clear windows and detailed interior

Limited Edition Number: 70

1:12 Scale Holden Dealer Team #25 Holden VK Commodore Group C

1984 James Hardie 1000 Runner-up

Drivers: John Harvey / David Parsons

Limited Edition Number: 70

Classic Carlectables 18804 1/18 1966 Pony Mustang Signal Flare Red

100.00 $

This was Ford’s goal for 1966 and close to 700,000 Mustangs were built in an extended model year. A new deluxe interior featuring the galloping pony seat inserts served to continue its popularity. Instead of a separate luxury model, Ford decided to offer a set of luxury options. These options were given the name ‘Interior Decor Group’. Most noticeable of these features was the galloping pony inserts on the seats. For this reason, the Interior Decor Group is often referred to as the ‘Pony’ interior. These special interiors were also known as Deluxe or Luxury interiors. Cars with the ‘Pony’ interior trim were sometimes called ‘Ponycars’ or ‘Pony Mustangs’. In 1966 Ford offered many styling ‘refinements’. The options/accessories in the 1966 Mustang totalled over 70 compared to 50 in 1964.

Features

Updated Simulated Air Scoop: Witness the sleek simulated air scoop, enhanced with three bars to create the illusion of air channeling to the rear brakes, adding a touch of sporty sophistication to the design.

Authentic Fuel Cap: Admire the fuel cap with grooved edges and the distinctive "Ford Mustang" inscription stamped concentrically into the metal surface, alongside the standard backup lights, capturing the essence of the original design.

Revamped Instrument Cluster: Explore the all-new bezel of the five-dial instrument cluster, now equipped with gauges rather than warning lights, complemented by details such as the ignition key and adjustable gear shifter for a truly immersive experience.

Classic Pony Hubcap: Marvel at the authentic replication of the standard 1966 14-inch Pony hubcap and hubcap badge, paired with White Wall tires for a touch of vintage charm.

Removable Air Filter Cover: Discover the removable air filter cover adorned with original 289 cubic inch and Autolite stickers, meticulously crafted and located in the model's boot for added authenticity.

Faithfully Replicated Engine Bay: Behold the high-performance 289ci V8 engine and surrounding bay, faithfully replicated to mirror the original design, complete with Ford's iconic blue engine paint and detailed front suspension components.

Functional Driveshaft: Observe the 16-gallon fuel tank mounted beneath the luggage compartment, alongside the driveshaft that spins with the rotation of the rear wheels, adding realism to the model's dynamic presentation.

Each item includes a certificate with an individual production number, ensuring its authenticity and exclusivity.

Kyosho 8306F 1/18 Lancia Rally 037 1984 San Marino No.2

135.00 $

The Rally 037 was born on the basis of the Group B regulation in force since the beginning of 1982. To be homologated in Group B, the cars had to be produced in at least 200 specimens with 2-seater configuration. For the rallies, the Fiat Group considered various possibilities and in the end the decision was to rely on the Lancia Beta Montecarlo. Thus the SE037 project was born. The 037 was entered in rallies from 1983, continuing its career until 1985 and beyond with private teams. A couple of evolutions of the car were developed, in addition to some experimental configurations never used in official competitions, such as the turbo volumetric (in preparation for the SE038 project of the S4), the 4-wheel drive and the Evo3.

Classic Carlectables 18849 1/18 Holden HR Premier Warrigal Black

124.00 $

The HR Holden replaced the previously released HD when sales started to dwindle in 1966. The HR featured what appeared to be mild body changes compared to its predecessor but in actual fact they were reasonably significant. The roof line was reworked and nearly all of the exterior panels had adjustments made to them to give the new HR a sleeker and (then) modern profile. In addition to this the front featured a new grille and squared off headlights with tower type lights at the back.

The performance of the HR initially was bolstered due to an enlarged version of the red engine with higher compression ratios a new version of the twin carburettor X2 engine pumped out 109 kW (145 bhp). Soon after its release the 186S engine became available as an option and while it still featured similar output credentials as the X2 engine the new option delivered its power smoothly in comparison to the X2 version and it also featured Holden s first automatic choke. The HR can also be credited as one of the cars that introduced new safety packages to the Australian car market. Six months after its initial launch a safety upgrade was included which saw seat belts added to the front windscreen washers reversing lights and sun visors.
