<p>For round 3 of the 2024 Supercars Championship season, Penrite Racing unveiled a new native livery for their Ford Mustang GT's raced at the ITM Taupō Super400 in New Zealand, the home country of both drivers Richie Stanaway and Matthew Payne.</p> <p>The transformation of the livery not only brought a fresh and dynamic look for the team but also served as a tribute to the loyal Penrite Racing fanbase in New Zealand.</p> <p>The Mustang's looked incredible and featured a striking silver base with iconic New Zealand branding elements in the background which formed a pattern made up of the silver fern, an outline of NZ and a Kiwi bird.</p> <p>It was a livery which rose to the occasion of the inaugural race at Taupo for Supercars, made even more significant for a team with two New Zealanders as their lead drivers. </p> <p>We're excited to be replicating this livery for Richie Stanaway's number 26 Mustang for collectors.</p> <p>This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.</p> <p>A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. <p>The 2023 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley was the official indigenous round of the Supercars championship for the second year running.<br><br>Every car raced at the event featured an Indigenous-themed livery or artwork, produced by various indigenous artists with different stories behind their works.<br><br>Various teams and drivers have embraced indigenous artwork on their cars or helmets in the past years for the Darwin round but this was the second time the category as a whole came together in an effort to recognise First Nations people after a successful debut as an official theme in 2022.<br><br>The end result was simply stunning once again. The variety of colours and artworks beautifully weaved into the racing schemes of each team was a true sight to behold and made for an exceptional weekend of Supercars racing.<br><br>Like many other teams, Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus elected to run their indigenous liveries at both the Darwin round and the following Townsville 500 round in the top end of Australia.<br><br>Featuring a livery created by 22-year-old Gunditjmara and Tiwi Islander Kiewa Austin-Rioli, the background of the design pays tribute to her Tiwi Islander heritage while also representing the strength and unity of the team. The artwork and colour combination of red, black and white with updated Coke Zero Sugar branding worked incredibly well for the two events.<br><br>For Brodie Kosteck, 2023 will be fondly remembered by both him and his team as the year they won the championship and this model, which will be replicated based on the Darwin round, represents another piece of the 2023 story for Erebus.<br><br>This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.<br><br>Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.<br><br>It is scheduled to be produced in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. <p>The 2022 Auckland SuperSprint would be the last time the Supercars Championship would race at the famed New Zealand circuit, Pukekohe Park Raceway, which was set to be closed 60 years on from when it was first opened.</p> <p>To acknowledge the occasion, Tickford Racing’s #55 Castrol backed Mustang raced by Thomas Randle featured a special livery. <p>A new era began in 2023 when Gen3 Supercars were introduced to race in the Supercars Championship.<br><br>A significant evolution from the previous Gen2 platform, the Gen3 rules implemented a raft of changes for the Ford Mustang GT Supercar in 2023, with a large focus on achieving a much closer visual connection to its road going counterpart, more controlled parts and less downforce to encourage greater racing.<br><br>It's fair to say that the Gen3 platform really suited Erebus Motorsport and Brodie Kostecki straight out of the blocks. Now with major backing from Coca-Cola, Kostecki's #99 Camaro not only looks awesome, but has been fast all year, claiming multiple poles, race wins and podiums to sit around the top of the championship standings for the majority of the season.<br><br>Come the Bathurst 1000, Kostecki, joined by co-driver David Russell, continued the trend with the Coke Camaro looking ridiculously quick in the lead up to qualifying. After easily making the top-ten shootout, Kostecki blitzed the field with his one lap flyer by half a second - clocking a time of 2:04.2719s to see him claim his first Bathurst 1000 Pole Position honour.<br><br>On race day Kostecki and Russell both drove exceptionally well and led the race for 38 laps but ultimately couldn't match the strength of the #97 Triple Eight Camaro to finish one place off the top step of the podium in second place. It was the second time the duo had finished on the podium with Erebus after a third place finish in 2021.<br><br>This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.<br><br>A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further.
