A Masterpiece Of The Classic Tank Series

The M1 Abrams main battle tank made its name in the Persian Gulf War in 1991. At that time, the main variant used by the U.S. military was the M1A1 upgraded from the M1 tank. The M1A1 had great improvement in firepower and protection. During the 100-hour combat in the Operation Desert Sabre, the M1A1 tanks were never penetrated in the front by the Iraqis. Instead, they destroyed many Iraqi tanks and other vehicles. Nowadays, many upgraded M1A1 tanks are still in service with the U.S. military. The M1A1 AIM tank of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) has some unique features, like the Missile Countermeasure Device (MCD) mounted on top of the turret, and the engine air intake port and exhaust port of the Deep Water Fording Kit. All these features are designed for the USMC’s special combat requirements. Many U.S. Army M1A1 tanks have been installed with the Tank Urban Survival Kit (TUSK) similar to that of the M1A2 tanks.

The MENG TS-032 1/35 scale USMC M1A1 AIM/U.S. Army M1A1 Abrams TUSK Main Battle Tank plastic model kit is 282mm long and 125mm wide. It can be built as a USMC M1A1 AIM or a U.S. Army M1A1 TUSK tank model. All crew hatches are realistic and movable. The main gun has real elevation and depression angles. Movable suspension and workable track links are included. Clear optical equipment and periscopes are included. Fine PE parts are provided.

Merkava, a well-known name to military enthusiasts, is a unique main battle tank. By now, this IDF tank which has a strong survivability has reached its fourth generation. The latest variant is designated Merkava Mk.4M. Thanks to the experience gained by IDF from the conflicts against terrorists and guerilla, the Merkava Mk.4M is greatly different from the previous variants. The most outstanding feature of the Merkava Mk.4M is the excellent advanced Trophy active protection system. This system can neutralize threats before the crew members are aware of them. This system proved to be effective and reliable in recent IDF combat operations.

MENG has been working hand in hand with Lt. Col. (res) Michael Mass who’s the curator of the Latrun Armored Corps Museum. Thanks to the hard work of both parties, MENG has released a series of accurate and enjoyable model kits of IDF subjects. The latest product will be the TS-036 Israel Main Battle Tank Merkava Mk.4m w/Trophy Active Protection System that will come out soon. This model is 231.86mm long, 113.75mm wide. This kit contains a total of 950 parts. This product has the standard features of MENG tank kits like movable suspension, workable tracks, clear lights and optical parts, and fine PE parts. What’s most important is that it is the first time that the most advanced Trophy active protection system has been replicated as a part of a scale model.

Dragon 6825 1/35 T95 Super Heavy Tank (2 In 1)

The T28 Super Heavy Tank (#6750) is one of the most astonishing kits to emerge from Dragon in recent times!

The T28 was designed to breach the defenses of the Siegfried Line during the latter part of WWII, but the 95-ton monstrosity arrived too late to participate in the war. Its name was altered to 105mm Gun Motor Carriage T95 in March 1945 since the armament was hull-mounted rather than in a turret. Dragon has overhauled its T28 kit and assigned it a new 155mm T7 main gun of the type used on the developmental T30 Heavy Tank. Of course, such a vehicle did not exist in reality, but this hull/gun combination is very popular in the online gaming world. Thankfully for these many fans, Dragon now allows them to produce and own such a mighty armored vehicle!

The size of the model is simply overwhelming – the lower hull is more than 300mm long! The double track runs are made from DS tracks, and the outer tracks can be detached just like the real ones should a modeler decide to opt for this configuration. The impressive 155mm gun barrel is newly produced. This was a monster of a tank in its day, and Dragon has made it even more monstrous for contemporary warriors with the addition of a more powerful 155mm gun that better befits the vehicle’s size! As a special bonus, modelers can either choice to build the T28 with parts provided in the box as well

In May 2017 it was decided to give the Bundeswehr Leopard 2 tank an upgrade in the form of the Leopard 2 A7V; building upon the A7 variant, the A7V has additional hull front armor to increase its survivability, with new running gear to compensate for the extra weight. Its L/55 120mm gun is a carryover from the A6 variant which - when using the latest ammunition - can take on enemy armor up to five kilometres away. Other design evolutions include a sight device to amplify vision in poor visibility, new tracks and a new turret rear basket. 104 existing tanks are to be upgraded to A7V spec, and units began receiving them in September 2021.
