<p>At the 2024 Supercars MSS Security Melbourne SuperSprint, supporting the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix round, Brad Jones Racing rolled out a wildly different looking number 96 Pizza Hut Chevrolet Camaro.</p> <p>Their regular slick white and red colour scheme had been replaced by a very bright and bold yellow livery celebrating 25-years of shenanigans of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, and Pizza Hut's alignment with the iconic franchise.</p> <p>The incredibly fun design sported SpongeBob's cartoon face on the bonnet, a sponge pattern across the car and Pizza Hut, SpongeBob and Celebrating 25 Years logos on the sides.</p> <p>It was a Supercar that instantly begged to be produced as a limited edition model car for fans and collectors.</p> <p>This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.</p> <p>Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.</p> <p>It is scheduled to be produced in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. <p>The Imagination Project by Authentic Collectables is an idea born out of creativity and a desire to produce a range of cool cars with no limits.<br><br>‘What if’ is the main question that drives this project. What if a designer had absolutely free range to create a racing livery without any restrictions? What if a driver could decide how their car would look? What kind of art cars could artists create on race or road cars? What if we combined retro and modern racing styles?<br><br>The questions, ideas and outcomes created by this project are limited only by our collective imaginations. In fact, the only limits that are placed on the models created in this range is the limited edition number.<br><br>Driven by our own creative division and also working with other designers, artists, brands, drivers and more - the Imagination Project is a collection of interesting, wild and fun limited edition models for motorsport, car and art &amp; design collectors.<br><br>Our sixth edition in this range is this awesome Holden VF Commodore Supercar featuring a tribute livery to the legendary 2003 Bathurst 1000 winner.<br><br>Originally appearing on the VY Commodore body shape - the blue, white and red livery will surely bring back fond memories for many Holden fans and has been replicated in-house by the Authentic Collectables research and development team to fit the VF.<br><br>The concept of applying historic liveries to new Supercar body shapes isn't new in the model car industry but it's something we've always enjoyed seeing and thought it was time we should produce a few of our own. Tribute liveries like this are perfect to be included in our Imagination Project range and this 'modern' interpretation of this livery looks really awesome.<br><br>While the VF isn't the current shape racing now, we felt that the last Australian Commodore was the right base for this edition.<br><br>While we have replicated this livery and modified it to create this tribute model, it's important to acknowledge the designer/s who created the original race livery design. Without their incredible work to create such an iconic livery in the first place, a tribute model like this could never be considered.<br><br>This 1:18 scale model is officially licensed by GM / Holden and has been produced in die-cast with opening parts. <p>The 2022 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley marked the first official Indigenous Round in Repco Supercars Championship history.<br><br>Every car raced at the event featured an Indigenous-themed livery or artwork, produced by various indigenous artists with different stories behind their works.<br><br>Various teams and drivers have embraced indigenous artwork on their cars or helmets in the past years for the Darwin round but this was the first time the category as a whole came together in an effort to recognise First Nations people.<br><br>The end result was simply stunning. <p>Thomas Randle enters the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship Season for the first time as a full time solo driver in the 'main game'.<br><br>Racing the Castrol backed #55 Ford Mustang GT in 2022 after a couple of years of Supercars wildcards and enduro co-driver duties, this popular young driver has also previously won championships in the Formula Ford Series, Toyota Racing Series and the Dunlop Super2 Series and is definitely one to watch in Supercars for the future.<br><br>It's always nice to be producing any race car which features a Castrol livery and Randle's Tickford Racing run 2022 Mustang is no exception. <p>A new era began in 2023 when Gen3 Supercars were introduced to race in the Supercars Championship.</p> <p>A significant evolution from the previous Gen2 platform, the Gen3 rules implemented a raft of changes for the Ford Mustang GT Supercar in 2023, with a large focus on achieving a much closer visual connection to its road going counterpart, more controlled parts and less downforce to encourage greater racing.</p> <p>After winning the 2022 Super2 Championship, Declan Fraser joined Tickford Racing for his first season as a full time 'main game' driver in 2023. Racing the #56 Tradie backed Mustang across the season, Fraser teamed up with Tyler Everingham at the Bathurst 1000 where the regular black and yellow Tradie Mustang was changed up to promote Tradie Beer. The new livery had a lighter, even retro style to it, particularly with how the stripes worked their way down the sides of the car. It was a refreshing update for the Great Race and a livery that will look great replicated in scale model form.</p> <p>This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.</p> <p>A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround.
