Authentic Collectables ACD18F23F 1/18 Tickford Racing No.55 Ford Mustang GT 2023 OTR Supersprint at the Bend Race 21 Pole PositionThomas Randle

114.00 $

A new era began in 2023 when Gen3 Supercars were introduced to race in the Supercars Championship.

A significant evolution from the previous Gen2 platform, the Gen3 rules implemented a raft of changes for the Ford Mustang GT Supercar in 2023, with a large focus on achieving a much closer visual connection to its road going counterpart, more controlled parts and less downforce to encourage greater racing.

Thomas Randle has been touted as a star of the future since winning the 2020 Super2 Championship. Now in his 2nd season as a full time ‘main game’ driver with Tickford Racing, Randle can now add a Supercars pole position to his growing list of achievements where he topped the qualifying time sheets for Race 21 at The Bend with a lap time of 1:50.068 to edge Brodie Kostecki by +0.052s - no mean feat given Kostecki’s championship caliber form across 2023.

Come race time, Randle couldn't quite turn his maiden Supercars pole into his first win, ultimately racing his bold #55 Castrol backed Mustang to finish on the podium in P2. In fact, Randle scored a hat-trick of podiums across the weekend's three races, his first podiums as a solo driver in Supercars. Not a bad weekend for Tickford and Randle fans.

This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.

A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. Underneath the model, the undercarriage details the unique Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 204 individual metal and plastic parts, with anywhere between 100-200 steps in paint and decoration finishing, including tampo printing where possible, photo etched parts including the bonnet pints, brake rotors and more, this is a high quality, detailed collectors model.

It is scheduled to be produced in an exclusive, one-off limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity presented in its own, Authentic Collectables branded protective cardboard folder.

Once this model is sold out, it won't be available again.

Features

1:18 Scale Tickford Racing #55 Ford Mustang GT

2023 OTR SuperSprint at The Bend Race 21 Pole Position

Driver: Thomas Randle (First Supercars Championship Pole)

Die-cast model, opening parts

Kyosho 08317RG 1/18 Lamborghini Miura P400SV Red

135.00 $

At the 1971 Geneva Motor Show, while most of the attention was focused on the new Countach presented by coachbuilder Bertone, an evolution of the Miura made its debut more discreetly on the Lamborghini stand. The SV went alongside the S. Equipped with wider tires, the new SV was recognized by its different front and rear lights. The engine mounted on the SV produced about fifteen horsepower more than the S. The SV was a rather rare car, with 150 units sold; among other things, the last Miura produced was an SV, delivered on January 15, 1973.

Classic Carlectables 18708 1/18 Ford Cortina GT 500 Red Satin with Red Interior

116.00 $

A model unique to Australia, the GT 500 was the car that Ford would take to the top of the mountain at the Bathurst 500, hence the name. Something special had to be developed to compete with the imported cars, that were allowed at the mountain for the first time in 1965. The Lotus-Cortina would have been more than adequate, but the eligibility rules required 250 be imported to qualify, as opposed to the production of 100 locally made cars to qualify, so the GT 500 was born.

It was designed for Ford Australia by Ford’s Works Team Manager, Harry Firth, in his Queens Avenue workshop in Auburn, Melbourne. It had an 8.5 gallon aluminium auxiliary fuel tank that increased the fuel capacity to 17 gallons, with the two tanks interconnected, and fed through twin snap-on fuel caps, located behind the rear window. These twin fillers were the result of a bit of craftiness on Harry Firth’s part, who realised that they would help reduce time spent by the car in the pits.
The car was released in July 1965 and only a 2 door was available, with fixed rear windows that didn’t flip open. Only 112 were produced, all between May and August, which sold like hotcakes. They achieved their intended destiny in the 1965 race, finishing 1-2 in Class D, and 1-2 outright. The success of the GT 500 led to eligibility rule changes for the 1966 race.

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.

Specification

Scale: 1:18

Type: Road Cars

Limited Edition Quantity: 750

Ottomobile 1/18 Ford Focus RS Stealth Grey 2017

87.00 $

The new generation of RS cars hit the sport compact cars market full pelt. Considered by many to be the most impressive sports car of these past few years, this RS is toned down to 4 cylinders but with an overall 350 hp, and its new chassis is equipped with a 4-wheel drive transmission, offering all the benefits of propulsion while keeping the advantages of an integral drive. The brakes are on par with the rest of the performances, with massive Brembo calipers pinching away at the discs. Suitable for all conditions of driving, the adaptability of the Focus RS is perhaps one of its best selling points.
