Classic Carlectables 1/18 Holden HT Monaro GTS - Daytona Bronze

124.00 $

The HT Monaro was introduced in 1969, as the facelift replacement to the highly successful HK. Missing from the HT lineup was the 327 cui engine, now replaced by a larger 350 cui. The larger engine pushed the output to 300 b.h.p. but only when paired with the 4-speed manual transmission. Upgrades from the HK also included the instrument cluster, with the tachometer now housed within the dashboard, the suspension was revised, and thicker brake discs.
Cosmetically the front grille was changed from metal to plastic, and the rear lights were now taller and wrapped around the car. The rear of the boot lid was also now a flat panel instead of having an undercut. The most notable upgrade was to the bonnet with the addition of twin air scoops, although they were more style than function.

The HT Monaro continued the racing success of the HK. In 1969 the Holden Dealer Team was formed and entered three HT Monaros in the 1969 Bathurst, with the HDT 44D car winning driven by Colin Bond and Tony Roberts. Norm Beechey also had success with the HT Monaro, winning the 1970 Australian Touring Car Championship.

Features

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.

The HT was a facelift to the previous HK, with the bonnet now featuring twin bonnet scoops. The metallic badges are replicated to match the real car.

The GTS sports wheel disc hub caps sat on steel wheel rims. Fabric seat belts have been included for a realistic appearance.

The engine bay shows off the 350 V8 engine. The chrome air-cleaner has large openings with visible etch metal mesh.

The rear chassis shows off the impressive exhaust system. The dual exhaust system splits into four chrome-tipped tail pipes.

The front chassis shows the engine sump, exhaust system and working suspension. The front wheels are even linked to the steering wheel.

The chassis bears an individually numbered etched metal plate which is the edition number of your model.

Classic Carlectables 18820 1/18 Holden HJ Monaro GTS Coupe Deauville Blue Metalic

106.00 $

Following on from the success of the HQ and with an influx of European models entering the market, Australians were presented with a wider range of choices. The Monaro received a heavy face lift to satisfy a more demanding buyer. Introduced in October 1974, the HJ Monaro GTS, with its new facelift, optional front and rear spoilers, offered extra comfort, a comprehensive sports instrument panel of its own and greater emphasis on body detailing to further distinguish it from other models. Beefier HJ styling was matched by extra-strength bumpers. The HJ Monaro upgrade was more imposing than its predecessor and the GTS featured a prominent, blacked-out grille, bigger wrap-around rear lights, more aggressive side vents and decals. Full foam high-backed seats came in a variety of trims and colours. The GTS instrument panel featured multiple ventilation outlets and clear recessed instruments with international symbols. The first factory front and rear spoiler options gave the HJ GTS real presence, the deep rear spoiler and new tail lights in particular bolstering its sloping boot line. As the imported Chevrolet 350 was de-tuned to meet US anti-pollution legislation, it no longer made sense as a premium performance option. Instead, Holden boosted the compression ratio of the local 308 to close the performance gap. The HJ has proved to be a popular favourite amongst the Holden Monaro range.

Item includes certificate with individual production number.
