After a ten year absence from the popular Ford team, Jason Bright returned to Prodrive Racing (now known as Tickford Racing) to contest the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship racing the #56 Mega Fuels backed Ford FGX Falcon.

Featuring an easy-on-the-eye white blue and purple livery at the season opening Clipsal 500, Bright's new Falcon challenger certainly looked like a very nice race car before undergoing a livery upgrade later in the season.

Bright's 2017 season would ultimately be his last full time season competing in the Supercars Championship, bringing an end to a long and successful full time career in the sport which included the 1998 Bathurst 1000 win and 20 race victories.

Classic Carlectables 18656 1/18 Holden VP Commodore 1994 Bathurst 3rd place

1994 Bathurst 1000 - What a race, what a finish. Wheels Magazine voted the 1994 Bathurst 1000 to be the greatest of all time.
The number 11 Castrol Perkins Racing Holden VP Commodore, with Larry Perkins behind the wheel, qualified 5th but ultimately started in position 8 on the starting grid, losing 3 places in the Top Ten Shootout. Race day turned out to be a day of rain, action and drama. The Ford duo of Dick Johnson and John Bowe triumphed in the most competitive touring car race held at Mount Panorama. With ten different leaders, one of them being the Larry Perkins and Gregg Hansford VP Commodore for a brief period, the classic came down to a sprint between John Bowe in the Shell FAI Falcon and twenty year old rookie Craig Lowndes in the Holden Racing Team Commodore he shared with Brad Jones.
1993 Great Race winners Larry Perkins and Gregg Hansford, took third place, while nine time winner Peter Brock came tantalizingly close until a high speed accident late in the event.

Classic Carlectables 18704 1/18 Holden HX Monaro GTS Deauville Blue Metallic

The HX was introduced in July 1976 and was basically a cosmetic upgrade on the HJ, although one major reason for the release of the HX was the introduction of new anti-pollution requirements, Australian Design Rule 27a, to lower exhaust emissions. But the addition of emission control equipment without any re-design of the basic engine saw reductions in both fuel efficiency and power output.

The cosmetic changes included a much better grille treatment than was afforded the HJ, bright colours, large GTS decals, colour-keyed mirror and bumpers, integrated body-coloured spoiler options and optional bonnet black-out made it the most distinctive of all four door Monaros. But perhaps the most little known feature of the HX was the somewhat primitive anti-lock braking system introduced. The system only operated on the rear wheels, which naturally dimished most of the potential safety benefits such a system would bring. But the HJ retained the longevity and built-in toughness of the HQ series while adding greater comfort and extra appointments. As new emission controls killed off many Australian performance car favourites, the HX Holden Monaro GTS was also one of the few to keep the V8 muscle car tradition alive.

Item includes certificate with individual production number.

Classic Carlectables 18670 1/18 Craig Lowndes 1999 Reverse Livery Holden VS Commodore*

$

What makes this car special is the unique Holden Racing Team “Reverse Livery” that it was raced with by Craig Lowndes at Winton Motor Raceway.
During Round 8 of the 1999 V8 Supercars Championship at Calder Park, Craig Lowndes managed to survive one of the most spectacular crashes in V8 Supercars history. After Lowndes’ recently built Holden VT Commodore was bumped sideways at the start of Race 2, the right rear wheel dug into the track causing the car to tip onto its roof and slide for some 200-250 metres down the main straight. Upon coming into contact with the grass at the side of the track the car was forced over the safety wall on the edge of the track and came to rest after some 5 and a half full rotations in the air. Amazingly, Lowndes survived the incident with a bruised elbow and ligament damage to his knee, which required surgery. Due to his injuries, Lowndes was side-lined for Round 9 of the Championship in Symmons Plains, Tasmania.

The Holden Racing Team re-commissioned the VS Commodore that Lowndes had previously driven to his first Australian Touring Car Championship and also to victory at the 1996 Bathurst 1000.
Due to the special circumstances in which the car was brought back to HRT Spec, it was given a new livery, whilst still displaying the same colours that made HRT recognisable. The livery was reversed, with the Blue at the front of the car instead of the rear as it had been in the past.
Craig Lowndes returned to racing at Round 10 of the Championship in Winton, driving the Reverse Livery VS Commodore and despite the massive accident and missing a round he went on to win his 3rd Touring Car Championship in only his 3rd full season in the series.

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.
