Authentic Collectables ACR12F21J 1/12 Shell V-Power Racing Team No.17 Ford Mustang GT 2021 Merlin Darwin Triple Crown Indigenous Livery Driver Will Davidson

125.00 $

There's no doubt that the now very familiar, perhaps iconic, Shell V-Power livery raced by the team over the past five years looks fantastic but it was very refreshing to see a big change when the team unveiled a spectacular one-off indigenous livery on both their Ford Mustangs for the 2021 Darwin Triple Crown.

Dedicated to Racing Together, a programme designed to give 12-to-18-year-old Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders an opportunity to pursue a career in motorsport as a driver or a member of a race team, the impressive livery was designed by Braedyn Cidoni who is a Racing Together team member. Also an aspiring driver for Racing Together, Cidoni's design was inspired by the artwork of Allison Millcock and the result looked exceptional on the sides of the #11 and #17 Shell V-Power Mustangs.

When car 17 finally hit the track in anger in the Top End, Will Davison had polar opposite days over the race weekend. Saturday simply didn't go to plan, a poor qualifying performance in slippery track conditions saw Davison start from 24th position to battle his way up to finish 14th.

Sunday however, went almost perfectly. Davison's qualifying dramas the day before vanished as he set two blistering record laps to start from Pole for both the Sunday races to ultimately close the weekend with double podiums, finishing in 2nd place on both occasions.

Car 17's trip to Darwin was ultimately a successful one and the indigenous livery was received with tremendous respect and fanfare.

This 1:12 scale model has been produced by Authentic Collectables in high quality sealed body resin with clear windows and detailed interior in a limited edition of only 86 pieces with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Features

1:12 Scale Shell V-Power Racing Team #17 Ford Mustang GT

2021 Merlin Darwin Triple Crown Indigenous Livery

Driver: Will Davison

Limited Edition Number: 86

Sealed body resin with clear windows and detailed interior.

Classic Carlectables 18811 1/18 Ford XY Falcon Phase III GT-HO True Blue

124.00 $

Late in 1970, Ford replaced the XW range with the new XY range. As with the XW, a GT was also released. By the first half of 1971, a GT-HO, the Phase III, was released.
This GT-HO was a true supercar and with a top speed of over 140mph was the fastest four door sedan in the world at the time. Approximately 300 XY GT-HO Phase III Falcons were produced. This new XY had more subtle side striping than the XW, but it lacked none of the aggressive look people had come to expect. A functional, as well as decorative, air-cleaner assembly with a scoop protruding through a hole in the bonnet was standard. Ultimately this scoop assembly would become known as a “shaker”.
The driving lights, bonnet pins, bonnet blackouts and red wall tyres fitted to five slot or the five star rims, enhanced the car’s appearance. The car was available in many colours and three trim colours, black, white and saddle.
As with the XW GT and the XY GT and previous GT-HOs, the Phase III had the top of the line interior with a centre console, a sports steering wheel and a sports dash with a 140mph speedometer and an 8000rpm tachometer.
The 351 cubic inch four barrel Cleveland engine was retained from the Phase II. Though the Phase II looked different from the Phase III, mechanically they were similar. The most significant engine improvement on the Phase III was the introduction of a full extractor exhaust system. A 780cfm Holley carburettor with a manual choke replaced the 750cfm Holley used on the Phase II. A few internal modifications to the Phase III allowed the engine to produce more horsepower.
The Phase III brakes were upgraded with the introduction of a brake vacuum reserve tank and new PBR front callipers. Not all the Phase III Falcons had the PBR callipers as standard, with many being fitted with the “old” Kelsey Hayes type.
The XY was such a beautifully built car, with awesome power and handling to match.

Features

The detailed front end features engraved headlights, spotlights and indicators, as well as the finely finished grille and bumper.

The Shaker airscoop protruding from the bonnet is finely detailed and realistic.

The 5 star Globe wheel rims look great together with the red wall road tyres.

The rear window venetian blind is a nice touch and was an option on the XY models.

Elaborate steering wheel and dash featuring full instrumentation and components.

The Cleveland engine has an outstanding level of detail including finely moulded hoses, tubing and fine graphics.

Superb chassis detail featuring working suspension and steering. The sump, air filter, swaybar, wheel rims, brake discs and components are all shown.

Intricate rear suspension with leaf springs includes bolt detail and the finned rear brake drums.

Item includes certificate with individual production number.

Authentic Collectables ACD43F24S 1/43 Mobil 1 Optus Racing No #25 Ford Mustang GT 2024 NTI Townsville 500 Indigenous Round Chaz Mostert

41.00 $

The 2024 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley marked the official Indigenous round of the Supercars Championship for the third consecutive year. Once again, race fans were treated to an incredible display of Indigenous artwork, expertly woven into race liveries in recognition of First Nations people.

In a trend that has grown in recent years, many teams continued running their Darwin liveries at the following Townsville 500 round due to the long distances from their home race shops.

One of the standout Indigenous liveries featured at both rounds adorned the #25 Mobil 1 Optus Racing Ford Mustang GT, driven by superstar Chaz Mostert.

Designed by artist Ava Muir, the striking livery—titled Artangentyele Akethe Durt, meaning Together in the Open Stars—blended traditional artwork techniques with modern race livery design. The predominantly blue and black Mustang was a particularly eye-catching example of this fusion.

Mostert’s results in Darwin saw him finish 5th and 16th, but he bounced back in Townsville, delivering podium finishes in both races with a 2nd and 3rd place.

In a season where Mostert finished third in the championship—and as the highest-ranked Ford driver—the Townsville 500 marked the beginning of a strong run of results that solidified his position for the year. We’re excited to replicate his stunning Townsville Mustang for collectors.

This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.

It will come in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. An individually numbered backing board featuring the edition number is also included as part of the package and acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.

It's another model that fans of Chaz Mostert, Walkinshaw Andretti United and Ford won't want to miss. Once it's sold out, it won't be available again.

Features

Die-cast model, sealed body

1:43 Scale Mobil 1 Optus Racing #25 Ford Mustang GT

2024 NTI Townsville 500 Indigenous Livery

Driver: Chaz Mostert
