<p>The 2023 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley was the official indigenous round of the Supercars championship for the second year running.<br><br>Every car raced at the event featured an Indigenous-themed livery or artwork, produced by various indigenous artists with different stories behind their works.<br><br>Various teams and drivers have embraced indigenous artwork on their cars or helmets in the past years for the Darwin round but this was the second time the category as a whole came together in an effort to recognise First Nations people after a successful debut as an official theme in 2022.<br><br>The end result was simply stunning once again. The variety of colours and artworks beautifully weaved into the racing schemes of each team was a true sight to behold and made for an exceptional weekend of Supercars racing.<br><br>Chaz Mostert’s Mobil 1 Optus Racing #25 Mustang was one of the great examples of indigenous artwork being combined with the regular season livery. The artwork was produced by Rhonda Sampson, a proud Kamilaroi woman who lives on Dharawal country in South Western Sydney. It looked phenomenal with sections down the sides and on top of the Mustang. The use of a predominantly teal and blue colour palette and patterns worked really impressively with the teal and black elements across the rest of the livery and the largely white exterior of the race car.<br><br>It makes for another incredible Darwin edition for collectors.<br><br>This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.<br><br>Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.<br><br>It is scheduled to be produced in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. <p>After tasting their first Supercars race win earlier in the season at Gold Coast with David Reynolds, the team at Penrite Racing / Grove Racing didn’t have to wait long to spray some more champagne, this time with Matthew Payne winning the Adelaide 500.</p> <p>It was an incredibly professional and accomplished drive from Payne who had a great start from the front row in P2 next to 2023 Championship Winner Brodie Kostecki and really, never looked like a race win was out of touch.</p> <p>Amazingly, the Adelaide 500 victory was the first Supercars race win for Payne in his rookie year as a full time Supercars driver.
