<p>The 2023 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley was the official indigenous round of the Supercars championship for the second year running.<br><br>Every car raced at the event featured an Indigenous-themed livery or artwork, produced by various indigenous artists with different stories behind their works.<br><br>Various teams and drivers have embraced indigenous artwork on their cars or helmets in the past years for the Darwin round but this was the second time the category as a whole came together in an effort to recognise First Nations people after a successful debut as an official theme in 2022.<br><br>The end result was simply stunning once again. The variety of colours and artworks beautifully weaved into the racing schemes of each team was a true sight to behold and made for an exceptional weekend of Supercars racing.<br><br>Shell V-Power Racing Team is one of the most popular teams in the Supercars Championship and their indigenous liveries have looked incredible in previous years. 2023 was no different and perhaps their best effort yet with both their #17 and #11 Mustang's featuring the updated look at both the Darwin and Townsville 500 rounds.<br><br>The livery featured the artwork of Zoe Raymond, a Perth-born, Queensland-raised, Yindjibarndi/Pinikura woman who lives and works on Turrbal/Jagera country in Brisbane.<br><br>The number #17 Will Davison Mustang looked wildly different, yet familiar with the artwork produced by Zoe weaved into the teams traditional livery - for a bold, refreshing change.<br><br>It will make for another important collectable for fans of Dick Johnson Racing and Will Davison.<br><br>This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.<br><br>Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.<br><br>It is scheduled to be produced in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. <p>At the 2023 Adelaide 500, Dick Johnson Racing became the first team to reach 500 Championship Rounds in ATCC / Supercars history.<br><br>A racer at heart, DJR started from humble beginnings in the wake of the now infamous rock incident at Bathurst in 1980 which is now part of Australian motorsport folklore.<br><br>With a newly built Tru-Blu Ford Falcon XD, Dick Johnson rolled up to the first round of the 1981 Australian Touring Car Championship at Symmons Plains in what would be DJR’s first official appearance as a team. He won that round and then a few more, including the season ending Lakeside round to seal the championship against his great rival Peter Brock - a pretty handy debut season for the team which also included a Bathurst 1000 win.<br><br>Fast forward over 40 years and the iconic Ford team has grown from a backyard operation into one of the oldest and most revered professional motorsport teams in the country with 10 drivers titles, 3 teams championships, 4 Bathurst 1000 wins, 148 race wins, 314 podiums and 154 pole positions.<br><br>Both Dick Johnson and his team are legends in motorsport.<br><br>To celebrate the 500 rounds milestone, designer Tristan Groves has created this very special model for fans of Dick Johnson Racing which combines characteristics reminiscent of the iconic 1981 Tru-Blu Ford Falcon XD applied to the 2023 Gen3 Mustang GT Supercar which the team races currently.<br><br>It's an awesome combination of both old and new.<br><br>This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.<br><br>A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. <p>To create a world-class super sportscar in the R35 GT-R, Nissan established a project team based at Germany’s Nürburgring consisting of a specialized development team that reported directly to the CEO.
