Leading from start to finish on September 8, Allan Moffat scored an impressive win in the "Sandown 250", second round of the ManChamp for 1974, and so scored a great equaliser for Ford in the Championship. Driving a much reworked Falcon GT and having his first competitive drive for some months, Moffat was fairly untroubled in his win, as various troubles beset the opposition. After the usual parade and warm up laps the field was sent on its way, with Moffat blasting to the lead between the two Toranas. Bond and Brock fought for second position until Bond relaxed on the chase for first position and let Brock fight. Moffat was able to keep the lead and slowly move away from Brock securing first position.

Authentic Collectables are pleased to present the 1:18 Scale Erebus Penrite Racing Holden ZB Commodore driven by David Reynolds and Luke Youlden at the 2018 Rabble.Club Sandown 500 Retro Round.

Featuring an amazing retro themed livery paying homage to the vintage Chickadee colours of the Holden VK Commodore that Graeme Bailey and Allan Grice drove to win a surprise victory at the 1986 Bathurst 1000, this car simply looked fantastic and is a perfect example of a retro livery done right.

As part of the launch for this car and the #99 team mate car of DePasquale/Brown which payed tribute to his Toyota Celica in another retro livery, Graeme Bailey was on hand and described the liveries as an honour.

“It’s an honour to see the recognition and I feel proud to be involved,” said Bailey.

“They look the goods, obviously I am very familiar with the cars but they’re instantly recognisable.

“The Celica days for me was a more family affair, but obviously the Commodore was the big achievement.

“It gave everyone something to talk about, it was a very good feeling to beat them.”

The Penrite ZB Commodore looked magnificent and it performed pretty well on race day too - albeit not quite to the lofty standards as the 1986 car, ultimately finishing in 5th place for the race.

Don’t miss this fantastic looking model in 1:18 scale which has been produced by Authentic Collectables as a sealed body with clear windows and detailed interior in a limited edition of 1002 with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Authentic Collectables are very proud to present the 1:18 Scale Milwaukee Racing Ford Mustang GT driven by Will Davison in the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Season.

Will Davison and Milwaukee Racing started the 2020 season in very strong form at the Adelaide 500, claiming two top 5 finishes across the opening two races of the Championship to set up what looked to be a promising year ahead.

As history shows however, those two races would be the only two the team would contest for the year and would ultimately be the final round for Milwaukee Racing / 23 Red Racing as a whole due to the global COVID-19 Pandemic which saw Milwaukee tragically pull their backing and leaving the team unable to continue.

It was a shock to the sport to see the team no longer able to compete in the Championship, leaving Davison's future uncertain. He was quickly snapped up to join Cam Waters at Monster Energy Racing as a co-driver for the Bathurst 1000 and a strong performance and 2nd place finish certainly reminded everyone that Davison was far from a spent force in the category and was still more than worthy of a full time drive in 2021 should an opportunity arise.

Don’t miss Davison's final Milwaukee Mustang in 1:18 scale which has been produced by Authentic Collectables in high quality die-cast with detailed interior and fully opening parts in a limited edition of 600 with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

1985 saw the introduction of the Group A rules, leaving Dick Johnson without a Ford eligible to race. This lead to sourcing the Mustang from Zakspeed, that was already out of date. The first running of the car was not up to speed with the engine requiring lots of work to make it legal and competitive. Johnson was able to finish the 1985 ATCC in 2nd place.
The ATCC season lead into the AEC (Australian Endurance Championship) and included Amaroo, Oran Park, Sandown, Bathurst and Surfers Paradise. After missing the first round, the Mustang had a upgrade to its suspension and brakes. The Mustang dominated the Oran Park 250 from Pole Position, but a stub axel failure caused a DNF
12 laps from the finish.
For the next race, the Sandown 500 he teamed with Larry Perkins, after Perkins walked out on HDT. The Mustang was looking good for the race, qualifying in 3rd position behind the parings of Brock/Oxton and Grice/Cullen, both in VK Commodores. The Mustang was again fast, leaping to the lead and setting the fastest lap of the race. But again the car was unreliable, with a broken axel costing the car its first win.
For the remainder of the 1985 AEC, the Mustang showed promised but couldn’t land its maiden win. Finishing 7th at Bathurst and 3rd at Surfers Paradise.

Ford Mustang Boss 302 1:24 scale Diecast Model Car

The Mustang Boss 302 is a high-performance variant of the Ford Mustang originally produced by Ford in 1969 and 1970 alongside its more powerful sibling the Boss 429 Mustang. It was produced for the Trans Am racing series.

In 2012, Ford revived the name for this second generation, produced from 2012 to 2013. Ford's engineers and development team improved the standard 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT, amusingly referring to it as the 'Road Runner' engine . Engine upgrades included a forged rotary assembly, CNC ported heads, revised camshafts, and a high-flow runner-in-the-box intake taken from the 302R race car. It produces 444bhp – 32bhp more than the standard GT's 412bhp. The drive is transmitted to the rear axle with a limited slip differential through a 6-speed manual transmission (MT-82).
