Hobby Master 0120 1/72 Ju 87G-2 "Tank Buster" WNr. 494193, Stab./SG 2, Slovakia 1944

73.00 $

The Ju 87 was considered as one of the most important German military aircrafts during WWII. It was better known as the “Stuka” which means “Dive Bomber”.
While the Ju 87 achieved great success during the beginning of WWII due to its accuracy in bombing, it suffered from lack of speed and defense armament. Without the escort of German fighters the Stuka easily became preys for enemy high speed fighters. After the Battle of Britain the Ju 87 was seldom seen in actions in the continent.

In 1940, the Ju 87 D (the “Dora” series), with a more powerful engine Jumo 122F, was developed for the attack of heavily defended targets. In 1943, with the approaching invasion of Russia, the Ju87 G “Gustav” was developed for anti-tank purpose. It was fitted with two 37mm cannons under the main wing and the number 1 ace of it was the legendary Oberst (Colonel) Hans Ulrich Rudel who had achieved over 500 kills of Russian armor include one battle ship destruction.

Tamiya 61095 1/48 Focke-Wulf FW190A

18.00 $

In 1944, as the U.S. began their long range strategic bombing campaign in earnest with heavily-armed B-17 and B-24 bombers, the Luftwaffe developed the specialized "bomber-killer" R2 variant of the Fw190 A-8. Tamiya now brings you this formidable fighter in the 1/48 scale, and with all the parts included in this kit you can choose to build either the R2 variant or the A-8.

The Focke-Wulf Fw190 was one of the Luftwaffe's best front-line fighters of WWII. Of all the different variants, the A-8 armed with four 20mm cannon and two 13mm machine guns was the most widely produced. A sub-variant of the A-8 was the R2, which had two of the 20mm cannons replaced by more powerful 30mm guns and added armor protection for its role in attacking the giant 4-engined Allied bombers.

Hasegawa 00449 1/72 US AV-8B Harrier II

8.00 $

Hasegawa's fine AV-8B Harrier with markings two United States Marines aircraft. One from VMA-223 "Bulldogs". The other from VMA-542 "Flying Tigers".

The Harrier, which appeared in the early 1960s as the world's first practical V/STOL attack aircraft , caught the attention of the United States Marine Corps as a landing support fighter and was adopted under the designation AV-8A.

However, operational issues due to insufficient payload and range persisted, and
there was a long-standing need for an improved version of the AV-8A.
The AV-8B, which appeared under these circumstances,
was a significant upgrade to meet the tactical requirements of the US Marine Corps.

The wings were enlarged, the cross section became a supercritical airfoil, and
LERX (leading edge extension) was added to the root of the wings to improve aerodynamics. Moreover, the weight was kept to a minimum by extensive use of composite materials, and the auxiliary wheels under the wings were moved from the wing tips to the center of the wings, and two underwing hard points were added.
Meanwhile, the avionics were also significantly modernized, and the nose was equipped with ARBS (Angular Velocity Bombing System) which was put into practical use in the A-4M Skyhawk, which dramatically improved the accuracy of weapon dropping. Furthermore, in addition to adopting a multi-purpose display and HOTAS system (which allows the pilot to operate various systems without taking their hands off the joystick or throttle ), the canopy was enlarged, providing a wider field of view and improving maneuverability.
