Special Hobby 32009 1/32 Heinkel He-100D 1 Propaganda Jager He 113
37.00
$

Heinkel He 100D-1 "Propaganda Jäger He 113"

The Heinkel He 100D was flown in comparative flight tests against the Messerschmitt Bf 109 type in the competition for the standard Luftwaffe fighter. Eventually, the Bf 109 became the winner, but as the He 100D outperformed it in a couple of respects, it also reached the production, albeit giving only a very small batch of airframes. These were later used by German nazi propaganda to give birth to the legend of a new Luftwaffe fighter called the Heinkel He 113. The He 100D received emblems of non-existing units and posed for photographers and film makers. In reality, the machines served in the defence of the Heinkel factory.

Scale Model comes on three styrene sprues. These are joined by a clear cockpit canopy, a fret of etches and a sheet of decals catering for markings of three fictious Luftwaffe units.
