Curtiss C-46D 'Air National Guard' with resin parts (engines)

After World War II, a few surplus C-46 aircraft were briefly used in their originally designated role as passenger airliners, but the glut of surplus C-47s dominated the marketplace and the C-46 was soon relegated to primarily cargo duty. The type continued in U.S. Air Force service in a secondary role until 1968. The C-46 continues in operation as a rugged cargo transport for Arctic and remote locations with its service life extended into the 21st century.

New mold! The prototype version of the P-51, known as NA-73, was considerably heavier than desired, so the USAAF and the British Air Force decided to develop a new aircraft with a weight more similar to that of the Spitfire; the result was the "Lightweight Mustang," the P-51H. This final production type of the P-51 featured a different engine and propeller than earlier versions, and it was capable of 759km/h at an altitude of 6,919m. All P-51s were supposed to be replaced with the P-51H in time for the invasion of Japan, but only 555 of this aircraft were produced by the end of the war; the remaining 1,845 aircraft ordered were canceled. The P-51H was later retired with little use.

This kit includes photo-etched parts, paint mask seals, and decals for 4 versions (1 British Air Force, 3 U.S. Army Air Force).
