Meng TS-046 1/35 German Medium Tank Sd Kfz 171 Panther Ausf A Early
31.00
$
The German medium tank masterpiece deployed in World War II.

Approximately 2,200 Panther A tanks were built from September 1943 to July 1944. The changes from the D type were the replacement of the transmission and a newly designed turret, which made it possible to strengthen the armor and change the turret rotation speed. In addition, the commander's cupola, which was unpopular with tank crews due to its poor visibility, was replaced with a periscope.

Features

Perfectly represents Exterior details

Includes multiple optional parts with various assembly options covering the complete changes from Ausf.D to Ausf.A versions.

Includes 4 Paint schemes

Includes Track ice cleats, Fine PE parts, Metal cables and Metal Skirts.

Optional built with SPS-077 Panther Ausf.A Early Production Zimmerit Decal and SPS-057 Panther Early Production tracks and Movable running gear parts.

However, the battlefield performance of the highly anticipated Panther Ausf.D was not always satisfactory. Continuous improvement accompanied the Panther’s whole life cycle. The Panther Ausf.A has been known by most people as a sign of the maturity of the Pather series tanks. The early version of the Panther Ausf.A kept some features from the Panther Ausf.D.

Like the real vehicle, the hull of this model has kept most features from the Panther Ausf.D, but has cancelled the rear hull snorkels. Both drive sprocket and turret have two options. This kit can fully demonstrate the unique features on the Panther Ausf.A Early tank.

Sam-2 Missile with Launcher Cabin

Development of the V-75 Dvina air defence missile system, designated SA-2 `Guideline' by NATO, started in 1953 as a medium to high SAM system for use against non-manoeuvring targets such as bombers. The system became operational in 1957 when the PVO-Strany formed SA-2 missile regiments of three six rail launcher battalions, with one of the initial deployments near the city of Sverdiovsk.

On May, 01, 1960, the Sverdiovsk units fired a total of 14 SA-2 missiles against a Lockheed U-2 high altitude reconnaissance aircraft flown by Gary Powers. The SA-2 is a two stage missile with a large solid propellant jettisonable tandem booster stage fitted with four large clipped delta stabilising fins. Towards the mid-section of the missile are four clipped delta-shaped wings with a second set of small fixed fins at the nose and a third in-line set of slightly larger moving control fins at the tail. The SA-2A/B/C models can be distinguished by the two sets of four, flush dielectric strip antennas in front and behind the forward fins.

The D-30 122mm howitzer (also known as 2A18) was the first type of howitzer to serve in the Soviet Union in the 1960s. It is relatively light in weight, easy to operate, suitable for field use, and has a relatively long range. The range of the D-30 full charge reaches 15.4 kilometers, and it can exceed 21 kilometers when using extended range bombs.

The D-30 artillery has a unique three-legged large frame, can shoot 360 degrees, and the rate of fire is relatively fast. Although the gun was no longer produced in the former Soviet Union, the D-30 was still authorized by many countries and still serves in the military of more than 60 countries.

The 2A18 artillery is also the main weapon of the 2S1 self-propelled howitzer. At the same time, Egypt, China, and Syria have also developed their own self-propelled artillery systems based on it. Among them, the Syrian model also uses the body of the T-34 tank.
