<h2>FWD Type B</h2> <h3>WWI US Ammunition Truck</h3> <p>The American company FWD (Four Wheel Drive Auto Company) was once an innovative enterprise that developed and produced four-wheel-drive vehicles. One of these cars, the 3-ton FWD Type B truck, had a classic hoodless layout with the driver’s position above the engine compartment. The driver was located directly on the hood of the 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 36 hp, the radiator was located in front of the cabin. During World War I, the U.S. Army ordered 15,000 of these vehicles, known as the “Truck, 3-ton, Model 1917.” In fact, over 14,000 units were delivered, with additional orders coming from Great Britain and Russia. At the same time, the U.S. Ordnance Department developed a body model for transporting ammunition, and some FWD Type B vehicles were equipped with similar bodies. These ammunition transporters were used by the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe, where they carried artillery shells and various equipment. <p>This model joins the Tiger I, Pz.Kpfw.IV and Panther G as the latest German battle tank to arrive in the compact and detailed 1/48 scale. The Ausf. L version of the German main battle tank Pz.Kpfw. III was produced from July 1942, and possessed basic structure and performance specifications similar to previous versions. Armament consisted of an improved, long barreled Kwk50 L/60 tank gun, which was effective against Russian T34 tanks up to a range of 600m, plus two 7.92mm MG34 machine guns.<br>Front armor thickness was increased to 57mm, and 20mm thick spaced armor was added to the gun mantlet as well. The suspension system was strengthened to cope with the 200kg of added weight. In total 635 Ausf. <h3>The Knight Ahead Of Its Time</h3> <p>The Panther Ausf.G medium tank was the most classic and most produced Panther variant, and it’s also one of the best German medium tanks produced in late World War II. To offset the overwhelming advantages of the Allied forces in the number of aviation and armored forces in night operations, the Germans installed the FG1250 “Sperber” active infrared night vision system on the Panther Ausf.G tanks. This system consisted of an infrared searchlight and an infrared image converter. Tanks fitted with this system could detect and attack enemy targets several hundred meters away. However, because of the high cost, only 50 to 60 Panther Ausf.G tanks were equipped with the system.</p> <p>The latest MENG TS-054 German Medium Tank Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.G Late w/ FG1250 Active Infrared Night Vision System model will be 263mm long and 93.6mm wide after assembly. This kit includes precision PE parts, metal cables, metal side skirts and four paint schemes. Hot rolling, cast, welding and cutting textures on the hull surfaces are realistically replicated.</p>
