Japanese pilots and Ground Personnel WWII

The aviation of Imperial Japan during World War II were organizationally part of the ground forces and navy. In 1940, the army’s aviation units numbered 36 fighter, 50 bomber, and 29 reconnaissance squadrons, and their personnel numbered 33,000 officers and lower ranks. The functions of army aviation included providing support for ground units and combating enemy aircraft. Structurally, it consisted of five air armies, each with a specific combat area. For better coordination between the Army and Air Force, at each of the theaters of operations, the air units were subordinated to the respective ground command. The uniform of Japanese Air Force personnel mirrored that of the army, with certain elements of clothing in blue. The special flight uniforms for Japanese pilots were divided into summer and winter attire, with military rank insignias worn on the sleeves or chest.

U.S. Paratroopers WWII in 1:32 Scale

Paratroopers jump out of airplanes and use parachutes to land safely on the ground. This is one of the three types of "forced entry" strategic techniques for entering a theater of war; the other two being by land and by water.

The ability of air assault to enter the battlefield from any location allows paratroopers to evade emplaced fortifications that guard from attack from a specific direction. The possible use of paratroopers also forces defenders to spread out to protect other areas which would otherwise be safe. Another common use for paratroopers is to establish an airhead for landing other units, as at the Battle of Crete.

Includes

15 unpainted plastic figures

8 different poses

A feature that distinguishes Strelets from other companies in this area is the greater variety of poses in it's sets. In our opinion, this allows collectors and gamers to better recreate battles and improve the realism of games. Standard infantry set contains at least 45 different poses, and a mixed infantry/cavalry set at least 24 infantry and 6 mounted figures.

Re-released! German (WWII) Infantry Normandy 1944. In the Normandy campaign of the summer of 1944 the Germans deployed a wide variety of troop types. These included regular army infantry and panzer (armoured) divisions, SS panzer and panzer grenadier divisions, Luftwaffe ground troops and paratroops (used in the ground fighting role).

The soldiers in this set are typical of those found in the regular army units and feature army pattern camouflage smocks and the famous Zeltbahn (a part of a shelter worn over the normal uniform to enhance personal camouflage).
