In a crouched action positions, these soldiers are very cautious of their surroundings while pushing forward following a tank. Such a tense frontline scene can now be displayed with this plastic assembly model set which includes five German soldier figures wearing winter uniforms, cotton-made smocks, and realistically reproduced winter overcoats seen during the middle stages of WWII. The noncommissioned officers are depicted carrying weapons such as an MP40 submachine gun and rifles and standing in lower poses than their field commander who has a Walther P38 and a grenade in each hand.

Specification

Scale: 1/35

Item Size/Weight: 15.7 x 26 x 3 cm / 120g

Strelets-R M057 1/72 French in Gasmasks

6.00 $

Gas masks mostly used circular lenses made of glass, mica or cellulose acetate to allow vision. Glass and mica were quite brittle and needed frequent replacement. The later Triplex lens style (a cellulose acetate lens sandwiched between glass ones) became more popular, and alongside plain cellulose acetate they became the standard into the 1930s. Panoramic lenses were not popular until the 1930s, but there are some examples of those being used even during the war (Austro-Hungarian 15M). Later, stronger polycarbonate came into use.
