<h3>Racing Technology Adapted to the Streets 　</h3> <p>The Porsche Carrera was unleashed on the public at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, and wowed the world; its shape was based upon an exceptionally lightweight and strong carbon fiber monocoque and rear sub-frame, in addition to body panels made from the same material. It was propelled by a midship 5.7-liter V10 engine that blasted out 612hp and was an evolution of a powerplant developed for use in the toughest and most famous of endurance races, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Other technological advances incorporated into the design were a small and super-lightweight ceramic composite clutch, pushrod-actuated double wishbone suspension, ceramic composite brakes, plus an underpanel and diffuser combination which offered supreme downforce. Infused with patented state-of-the-art technologies, Porsche's Carrera GT embodied both the high-performance of a racing car with the usability and safety of a road car. It departed from Porsche's tradition of horizontally-opposed engines and in doing so became the company's new flagship which only 1,270 lucky owners around the world would have the opportunity to experience.</p> <p>This is a 1/12 scale premium assembly model kit of the Porsche Carrera GT. Assembly of the delicately curved body follows that of the full-size car. Durable die-cast suspension arms are combined with working dampers and stabilizers for real-action suspension. Metal-hinged doors, hood and rear cowl open realistically to display the fully detailed interior and V10 engine. <p>This kit from Aoshima can be built as either the Nissan P430 Cedric or Gloria 4HT280E Brougham, both from 1982! You can also choose between Genuine aluminum wheels or external aluminum wjheels; the height of the car is adjustable, and it has spring suspension. Various custom parts are included, such as the antenna, and it also comes with a bucket seat and an aluminum license plate. <p>"Gra-chan" ("Grand champion") is a very cool series of custom car models reminiscent of the hopped-up cars of the '80s. This entry is a customized Nissan 330 Cedric gussied up with a chin spoiler, gullwing rear spoiler, and crazy-deep 14-inch star wheels with "hippari" (stretched) wide tires (wheels are all chrome; you'll have to paint the centers to match the box art). <p>Released on August 1968 as a full-model change 3rd generation Skyline, the C10 series became an instant hit and was widely familiarized with commercial copies such as "Ai-suka" and "Suka-G". Later in October of the same year, GT (GC10) with the L20 engine was added. The front became long-nosed to fit the straight-six engine, and its well-balanced design certainly added to the popularity of the Skyline. Many people focus on the success of the GT-R in motorsports. However, this was made possible by features such as its light weight and independent suspension which gave the vehicle a balanced configuration.</p> <p>This kit replicates the 2000GT "Hako-suka" 4-door GT in its catalog spec. The molds for this kit were designed and developed in the 1970s and may not be at the quality of replication in today's standards.
