Authentic Collectables ACD18F21B 1/18 Shell V-Power Racing Team No.17 Ford Mustang GT 2021 Repco Supercars Championship Season Driver Will Davison

104.00 $

Now a veteran of the Supercars Championship, 2-time Bathurst 1000 Winner Will Davison scored the coveted #17 drive with the re-born Dick Johnson Racing / Shell V-Power Racing Team for the 2021 season after the departure of 3-time champion Scott McLaughlin.

It was a fairytale return to a full time drive for Davison who experienced a well documented rollercoaster year in 2020, no less to a team he previously raced for over 10 years prior.

As if things haven't been mixed up enough in recent memory, the start of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship saw another really big change and was held at Bathurst in February as the Mount Panorama 500. Davison started the season off in style at the mountain with a podium finish for Race 1 which is the livery we are basing this season model on.

While he has had to contend with the absolutely enormous shoes he had to fill, Davison's year was strong, finishing on the podium on 10 separate occasions across the year and wasn't placed outside the top 10 for 26 of the 31 races overall to finish 4th in the championship.

He has been a classy, steady hand for the team, forming a very strong partnership with new team mate Anton De Pasquale.

Don’t miss this model which has been produced by Authentic Collectables in high quality die-cast with detailed interior and fully opening parts in a limited edition of 402 with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Features

1:18 Scale Shell V-Power Racing Team #17 Ford Mustang GT

2021 Repco Supercars Championship Season

Driver: Will Davison

Die-cast model car with detailed interior and opening parts

Authentic Collectables ACR18H18D 1/18 Penrite Racing #99 Holden ZB Commodore 2018 Bathurst 1000 DePasquale/Brown

96.00 $

Everything was going right for the only all-rookie combination of Anton DePasquale and Will Brown at the 2018 Bathurst 1000. Their special red chrome Holden ZB Commodore looked every bit the part and they were proving to be very fast. Then race day came and everything started to come unstuck.

After an impressive showing from DePasquale in the Top 10 Shootout to set a time worthy of starting the race from third on the grid, along with an electrifying start which saw him pass Jamie Whincup to round Hell Corner in 1-2 formation behind his pole sitting team-mate David Reynolds, car 99s day then went from bad to worse.

A combination of various issues over the course of the race, including an unsecured passenger door latch early on, saw them slip through the field to ultimately finish 24th, a result that didn’t reflect how strongly the team and drivers had performed all weekend.

Despite the disappointing result on race day, no-one could argue that both DePasquale and Brown look to have bright careers ahead of them in the sport and of course, their car looked amazing.

Don’t miss this model in 1:18 scale which has been produced by Authentic Collectables as a sealed body with clear windows and detailed interior in a limited edition of 300 pieces with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Features

1:18 Scale Penrite Racing #99 Holden ZB Commodore Supercar

Sealed body resin with clear windows and detailed interior

Includes numbered Certificate of Authenticity

Kyosho 08959G 1/18 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ Light Green

135.00 $

In 1951, the Land Cruiser was developed and trained in the harshest environments around the world. The U.S. military and National Police Reserve (now the Ground Self-Defense Force) required a locally produced vehicle with similar specifications to the Willys-Overland Jeep. Toyota installed a B-type in-line 6-cylinder 3.4ℓ engine (85ps, 4-speed MT) for trucks on its J-type chassis, which was an improved version of the SB-type engine for small trucks. Toyota created the Jeep BJ prototype by combining this engine-chassis combination with a four-wheel drive system to compete against the Nissan and Mitsubishi machines. Mitsubishi was eventually chosen and delivered its jeep to the US military and the National Police Reserve. The losing Toyota model was later adopted as a patrol car by the National Police (now the Metropolitan Police Department). With dimensions of 3,800mm in length and 1,575mm in width, it was a very compact car and from 1953 it became commercially available as well as contract-manufactured for wireless communication vehicles as well as other special purposes including the fire department which upgraded to the more powerful F-type engine (95ps). In 1954 the name ‘Jeep’ was determined to infringe of Willys-Overland trademark rights and the name was changed to Land Cruiser, and the legend has grown ever since.
