<p>The 1996 AMP Bathurst 1000 race kicked off with a rough start before any cars were on the track. Heavy rainfall came before the race, and even though the rain had cleared when the green light flashed, there was some dark clouds in the distance approaching the race track.<br>Peter Brock and Tomas Mezera placed 4th on the starting grid giving them a decent positioning considering the bad weather. Safety cars and crashes were a common sight during the race causing many issues. Then things started to go poorly for Brock, on lap 46 he lost his poise for a split second and found himself nose first into the barrier, luckily the damage was mostly cosmetic, a quick pit stop was called at lap 49 to tape up the damage. Lap 52 brought more bad news for the Holden VR Commodore and another pit stop was needed for a mechanical issue that took the Holden VR Commodore out of the leading lap.<br>For the remainder of the race the Brock/Mezera Commodore gained 5th position and held that position for the remainder of the AMP Bathurst 1000. Brock and Mezera finished the race in 5th completing 160 laps and a time of 7 hours 09 minutes 47.676 seconds.</p> <p>Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.</p>

The McLaren team was already the subject of a lot of hype before the 2021 Monaco meeting had even started, with the late announcement that it would be running a one-off livery in the race. And not just any one-off livery, but one inspired by one of the most iconic motorsport paint schemes of all time; the light blue and orange of Gulf! Norris set himself up for his third place finish after putting in an impressive performance in qualifying, setting the fifth fastest time. This became an effective fourth place on the grid after pole sitter Charles Leclerc was unable to take the start. The British youngster then held his position off the line, and was elevated to third place at the pit stops when a wheel nut issue saw Valtteri Bottas retire. From there Norris kept his head, resisting some late pressure from a charging Sergio Perez to take his first podium finish around the streets of the principality. <p>Named after a region in NSW, and meaning ‘high plateau’, the Monaro name has become a legend in Australian motoring. The HK was introduced in 1968, with the Monaro version being a 2-door pillarless version available in 3 models, base, GTS and GTS 327. The Holden HK Monaro could be customised with a large range of gearbox and engine options, varying from the 161 cubic-inch 6 cylinder, to the 327 V8.<br>The base model GTS with the 186S engine was priced at $3,060 with the GTS 327 model costing $3,790.<br>Being on the same platform as the Kingswood, the Monaro model shared the same fan style speedometer, but the GTS had the inclusion of a full array of gauges. The tachometer would not fit in the common layout and was placed in a unique position on the centre console.<br>The hero of the HK was the GTS 327, identified by the engine capacity badges on the front quarter. The GTS 327 included a Saginaw 4 speed gearbox, LSD, anti-tramp rods, 25-gallon fuel tank and was good for 250 bhp from a Chevy V8. The GTS 327 was designed for racing, and was able to achieve Holdens first win at Bathurst with Bruce McPhee and Barry Mulholland in 1968.<br>The HK Monaro range was awarded Wheels magazine’s Car of the Year for 1968.</p> <h3>Features</h3> <ul> <li>Aggressive front end styling of the HK features plenty of chrome. <p>Model 40 was the 3rd generation Land Cruiser and sold for 24 years from 1960 to become the number one long-selling model in Japan. Recognized for its cross-country 4WD reliability, the model 40 built the Land Cruiser reputation across the globe. The chassis is a 2nd generation carryover with four different wheelbases: short; middle; long, and super long, mainly for international markets. Body options including hood / hardtop / pickup truck / with cab provided enough variations to fulfil usage requirements in any environment and application. The Model 40 launched with a 3.8ℓ inline 6-cylinder engine but was joined by Japan’s first 3ℓ inline 4-cylinder diesel, which was a 3.6ℓ inline 6-cylinder diesel in international markets. As well as being fuel efficient, the 4-cylinder engine could be registered as small commercial vehicle leading to sharp increases in demand from commercial customers. Major upgrades were made in 1979 and 1980 that evolved the Land Cruiser into a comfortable yet powerful 4WD to match modern lifestyles as the demand from the commercial sector contracted. In 2022, GR Heritage Parts reproduces parts for Toyota models that attract significant demand, more than 60 years after the Model 40 was first introduced.</p>

<p>Nicely done in 1:18 scale by Spark this is the 2022 Red Bull F1 driven to 1st Pole Position at Saudi Arabian GP by Sergio Perez with display case.</p> <p>During the final part of qualifying, Red Bull's Sergio Pérez took his maiden Formula One pole position ahead of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. for Ferrari in second and third, respectively. As a result of his pole position, Pérez proceeded to set a new record for most Grands Prix contested before achieving a pole position with 215. Pérez's Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen qualified fourth ahead of Ocon in fifth and George Russell in sixth place.
