Special Hobby SH32049 1/32 Hawker Tempest Mk.V

48.00 $

Hawker Tempest Mk.V 1/32

During WW2 the opposing sides were constantly competing against each other to keep abreast of the latest technological developments and as a result this led to ever more powerful and effective warplanes. In 1941 the new Fw 190 fighter began to enter service and the British hastily developed the Spitfire Mk.V into the Mk.IX with a better engine, and also introduced a new type called the Hawker Typhoon Mk.I into the service too. The introduction of the Typhoon fighter into service was rather complicated and as it also became clear soon that the Typhoon would not fit the requirements for a standard day fighter aircraft, the Hawker´s chief designer Sydney Camm began to design an improved version which, because of the number of changes received eventually a new name, the Tempest. And became one of the best fighting machines of WW2.

Trumpeter 02807 1/48 Curtiss P-40B Warhawk (Australian Decals incl)

22.00 $

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American, single-engine, metal fighter-attack aircraft in a low wing configuration with a classic tail. The flight of the prototype took place in 1938, and serial production was carried out in the years 1938-1944. The last of the Hawk family of planes - the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was, apart from the Republic P-47 and the North American P-51 Mustang, the most widely built American fighter. At the end of production in December 1944, the number of machines exceeded 15,000. The development of the design began in 1937, when the prototype airframe of version 75 was adapted to the installation of the 1167HP Allison V-1710-11 in-line engine. The plane became the first American construction capable of flying at speeds over 483 km / h. The version for the RAF was called the Tomahawk Mk IIA. The planes had self-sealing fuel tanks and two wing-mounted 7.7mm machine guns. The Tomahawk MkIIB were equipped with American radio hardware and armed with six 7.7mm machine guns. Some American P-40s were modernized in 1941 for reconnaissance tasks. They received the designation RP-40. Meanwhile, work on the Hawk 81-A was underway at the Curtiss facility. The changes included the installation of the Allison V-1710-39 engine with a capacity of 1167KM, providing constant power up to a height of 3563 meters, adaptation for installation in the wing of four 12.7mm machine guns and the installation of a fuselage node that could carry one bomb weighing 227 kg or thrown back additional fuel tank. The US Army placed an order for these machines in September 1940, awarding them the designation P-40D. Over the next three years, Curtiss made every effort to expand the application possibilities of the P-40, creating numerous new versions of the aircraft. Despite these efforts, Warhawk's performance was lower than that of contemporary Allied and Axis fighters. Technical data (P-40E version): length: 9.66m, wingspan: 11.38m, height: 3.76m, maximum speed: 580km / h, rate of climb: 11m / s, maximum range: 1100km, practical ceiling: 8800m, armament: fixed - 6 M2 machine guns, caliber 12.7 mm, suspended - up to 900 kg of cargo.

Specification

Model Brief Length: 201.9mm Wingspan: 237.2mm

Total Parts: 104pcs

Photo Etched Parts: Engine ventilation grill

Total Sprues: 3pcs

Paint Schemes: British Royal Air Force(RAF) 112 Squadron, Egypt 1941 with shark mouth design.

Academy 12560 1/72 Grumman E/A-18G VAQ-141 Shadowhawks

27.00 $

The Boeing EA-18G Growler is a modern American electronic combat aircraft. The prototype flight took place in 2006. Three years later, the machine entered the line in the US Navy and is still in it. In total, about 100 examples of this aircraft were built. The drive is provided by two motors turbofan General Electric F414-GE-400 . The aircraft has a maximum speed of 1.8 Ma and a maximum range of 3,300 kilometers. The unit price of the aircraft is $ 68.2 million (USD).

The Boeing EA-18G Growler was created to replace the EA-6B Prowler in the US Navy. It was developed on the basis of the F / A-18 F Super Hornet machine and shares 90% of its components with it. However, it was created for completely different purposes and tasks - namely to disrupt and destroy all means of detection (mainly radars) of the enemy and thus increase the chances of success of US Navy combat missions. The main weapons of the Boeing EA-18G Growler are modern ALQ-99 jamming containers, but also anti-radar missiles (AGM-88) and a self-defense missile (AIM-120). Currently, the main user of the EA-18G is the US Navy. The only foreign recipient so far turned out to be Australia.

The electronic fighter EA-18G Growler as adopted by the U.S. Navy gets a new model kit from Academy, complete with decals by Cartograf for three different aircraft from the VAQ-141 Shadow Hawks squadron, as well as decals for the Australian Air Force 6th Squadron.

This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

ICM 48100 1/48 Junkers Mistel S1 Composite Aircraft

42.00 $

The Mistel Strike Aircraft Complex was a high-powered guided attack aircraft. The combat component of the complex was the Ju 88 bomber, which was fitted with a large warhead with an explosive material weighing between 1,800 and 2,000 kg instead of a cockpit. The aircraft thus becomes a kind of giant bomb. The nose of the fuselage was equipped with a long tip with a detonator to create a cumulative effect during the explosion. Above the bomber was located a carrier aircraft, usually a single-seat fighter, whose pilot had to control the entire system from the moment of takeoff until the target was identified. Than the carrier had to be separated from the Ju 88 and return to its airfield, and the bomber was to hit the target in peak mode. In the summer of 1944, the Mistel 1 was used by specialised Luftwaffe units against Allied ships off the coast of France, and in the spring of 1945, such aircraft systems struck bridges and crossings to stop the advancing Red Army.

Number of details: 251

Markings

Bf 109F-4 (Mistel 1), 2./KG 101, St Dizier, June 1944

Ju 88A-4 (combat component of the complex Mistel 1), 2./KG 101, St Dizier, June 1944

Bf 109F-4 (Mistel 1), 2./KG 101, France, summer 1944

Ju 88A-4 (combat component of the complex Mistel 1), 2./KG 101, France, summer 1944

Bf 109F-4 (Mistel 1), probably from Einsatzgruppe 101, Burg, autumn 1944

Ju 88A-4 (combat component of the complex Mistel 1), probably from Einsatzgruppe 101, Burg, autumn 1944
