<p>The T-400 is a basic flight training aircraft introduced to respond to the increasing training of new pilots, and to improve the efficiency and quality of flight education, such as for transport and rescue aircraft. It is the first parallel-seat aircraft used as a training aircraft by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, and is suitable for training crew coordination, which is the basic operation mode of multi-seat aircraft such as transport and rescue aircraft. The aircraft is equipped with the latest instrument display system and navigation equipment, and has high reliability and maintainability.<br><br>This 1/72-scale model kit from Sova-M is a completely new mold! This kit's decals include normal paint, as seen on the package art, and the 50th anniversary paint of the 41st Educational Squadron of the 3rd Transport Air Group, which was shown at the base air festival held in 2004-05 (with the red background). There are four white stripes and two types of decals with the aircraft number "51-5057": with the letters "3TAW" on the engine pod. <h3>Gloster Meteor Mk.8/9 ‘Middle East Meteors’</h3> <p>The Gloster Meteor was one of the world’s very first jet fighters. The first two versions of the Meteor were introduced into service with the RAF in time to see the deployment int he final stages of the war. The development of the type went on after the war, with the first post war version being the Mk.4. Next, more advanced F.8 fighter and FR.9 fighter-reconnaissance types were both operated by the RAF and exported to overseas forces. Besides several European air forces, these types also flew in Australia as well as with a couple of Middle Eastern countries, which as it happened were actually in war with each other. The Meteors became the first jets of the Israeli air force, but they were also pressed into service alongside Vampire jets in Egypt and Syria.</p> <p>It was one of the fighter-recce FR.9s which claimed the very first ‘jet kills’ of the IAF. And this very machine is in the kit’s marking options, it is also depicted in the boxart. <h3>Westland Whirlwind Helicopter</h3> <div> <p>As helicopter technology continued to advance apace following the end of the Second World War, named the Whirlwind, the first British build prototype flew in August 1953, with the type going on to enter Royal Navy service in July 1954.</p> <p>As helicopter technology continued to advance apace following the end of the Second World War, the operational flexibility offered by rotary powered aircraft resulted in a race to develop a machine with the power and range to carry both troops and supplies efficiently. The breakthrough came with the introduction of the US Sikorski H-19 Chickasaw, an aircraft which was the envy of the world, with the British military being particularly keen admirers. Having successfully evaluated a number of aircraft, a licence agreement was signed to allow Westland Aircraft based at Yeovil to produce the helicopter for British service.
